ISS in Querious
ISS is struggling a bit. I don't know how you guys feel about them, but narf I still have a soft spot for the Alliance, if not for some of the people in it, but the ones actually making it work deserve a break. To that end can we leave them alone for a few weeks in Querious while they get their shit squared away? If they fail this time, the alliance is pretty fucked and that'd be sad imo.
Not gonna make you stay away - entirely up to you. But I promised I would ask. Hobo's is a different matter, but I think we should be concentrating on our real enemies narf.

Too be honest. I like ISS but we left and they are fucked any way. I wont engaged them unless they target me. Once they do i kill them but i agree the real people we need to kill is IAC.
Oh and i hear they pretty much pissed bob off and some other alliance and corps. So they sure they going to empire

How fresh is this news? You know they've just taken a deal with BoB to move into Querious?northwesten wrote: Oh and i hear they pretty much pissed bob off and some other alliance and corps. So they sure they going to empire
Anyway, it looks like the usual shitstorm followed ISS into their new home. H74 was a very quiet backwater...the same day ISS arrived, Razor/IRON turned up. Now the system is a mess
Call me a cross-posting whore, but it's nice to know what people think. This went up on the ISS forum after some of you guys popped an ISS or two around the 9UY area. I thought they were NBSI too and understood what that means but it would seem not. They take it so personally it's nuts.
Ed Hudkins wrote:so now The Littlest Hobos & 5punk are shooting it's ex-alliance... how nice... Butter Dog influence?
I'm just wondering how is it to shoot a people who still consider you as a friend, who are happy to see a friendly name in local just to be ganked a couple of minutes later by someone, who was your brother in arm just a couple of weeks ago.
BD wanted to "Win the thread", it was not enough for him, now he has made friends shooting friends...

Maybe... or they just discovered we are happy without them and are getting angry ;p

I dont think this can be blamed on butter dog. He´s not the only one that doesnt like ISS in that corp.

ok I am just having a chat with friznit.
He says it aint nothing personal.
they do NBSI, and they have been in that area for quite awhile now.
And I dont think any of them realy hate us.
We are easy targets.
we are available.
end of story.
chrisreeves wrote: You know what I find very funny in this game? People say "oh, its only a game, its ok to screw over friends" or "hey, were nbsi, just a little pew pew, nothing personal".
Thing is, people work hard to get the things that they have in eve and they see a face in local that they thought were friendly. Friznit and others know what ISS situation is and these people start shooting ISS as soon as they leave?
I don't care what anyones "explanation" is on this forum. In my eyes these types of things are called "Lacking in Honor" especially when I hear of excuses like "oh, its just a little pew pew, nothing personal".
Btw, funny name of the alliance they are in now "Betrayal under Mayhem"
Count's right in some ways. I have my own personal reasons for leaving ISS on top of the fact that the corp was falling apart, C3 and Geminate notwithstanding. I may have toyed with the idea of going back one day but the more of this kind of thing I see the more the appeal goes out of ISS. OTOH, the IPO and big business idea is really cool, and something I'd happily encourage. But that's run by a small handful of people anyway and doesn't actually need the Alliance to work.Count TaSessine wrote: I have to say I agree with Chris. Everything is personal in this game. I don't see how it can be any other way and I know Friznit play the game like that too.. wonder how long he'll survive in an alliance with those guys.

Ok io am some what
at this I blame it on lack of honor to be honest crap. Sorry but it is a game ffs. I have friends in EVE i was fighting with and now i fighting them but we still m8's. Honor? meh
Dont get me wrong but i like ISS but one thing i say to ISS which i wont is cut the honor crap. Deal with it or die simple.
Tho really i do think we should be blue to ISS and fight IAC and co. Also was hobo always killing ISS?

Pete's right. I like the whole NBSI thing, but narf I am not sure why we aren't blue to ISS. We seem to be picking on the wrong target. IAC is the spawn of satan, and by shooting ISS we are helping IAC to a certain extent.
Just become blue to ISS and everyone is happy.
I personally haven't shot anything ISS.

my views myself.
ISS helped us all out when we wanted a 0.0 chance. We all now ISS is easy kills for the most part. We (not I but corp) want to shoot things. Why and when we decided to shoot our friends I will never know. I understand the philosophy of no politics and NBSI but come one, its like one of us leaving and then shooting Marilyn. Honestly its not right to me but hey I am not there.
honestly to me the ONLY alliance that should be blue is ISS.

I agree with DP about this, granted I wasn't in ISS as long and have no history with them; but I don't see why we are taking pot shots at your old comrades. Even if 5punk left because ISS was on it's last legs there is no point in kicking a dead man, especially if that dead man was once a friend. From what I gather you guys fought fucking hard for them, why tarnish a damn good reputation?

Why should ISS be blue? I think it's pretty obvious the amount of respect I have for ISS since C3, but why? We're not in ISS, practically all of our friends from ISS are either in BUM with us or not in ISS anymore. The ISS that's left is mostly the leachers that don't deserve or have any of my respect.
The fact they're taking it so personally makes it more amusing to be honest, they're crying over it
Also, being blue just for the hell of it is completely stupid, ISS can't offer us anything except less fun. So why do it?

Dolly, you can always go back and back and back. The point is on the day that ISS is referencing to as "the day you (us) starting shooting us (them)" they fired first. No more chicken or egg or ISS or BUM debates.
People like NBSI because it lets them pvp on their own terms. The flipside of that coin is when another NBSI entity comes along, the terms in question are determined by who's got the highests scan strength, the most gunz, and the most friends. ISS hasn't grasped that. They want pvp only when they feel like pewpewing.
Life in 0.0 is strikingly simple. When you are undocked expect to be attacked by anyone not blue (and somtimes even blue). I learned that rule while I was still in ISS the hard way and it only took once.. ok, a couple times to sink in. I never bitched about it, I just accepted it as part of 0.0 life. It's not my backyard, or playground, or house. I'm just squating.
The fact that the usual suspects are bitching doesn't suprise me. I'm VERY suprised that Count called out Friz (knowing he still had access and would read it). Still, that was a move that I thought below a man of his stature and the respect I did have for him is starting to dwindle.
People can get wrapped up in this game. Hell, I sat for two hours talking with the leader of IAC awhile back. He apologized to me for the way things unfolded in Catch. We both agreed that it only takes a few hotheaded or overzealous or silly people to make a bad situation worse, and to move it from "business" to "personal". I told him that it was the business of war and that we just happened to be on opposite sides of the conflict. That's the way ISS should look at anything we do (or don't do) to them. Business, nothing more.
I'm rambling now, and I have to get some work done but I think that is a good start

To get someone blue to BUM takes agreement from all directors in the Alliance. We'll never get that for ISS. But there's no reason to actively hunt them down in Querious - we've got better things to do narf and they are basically on our side, as far as BUM is taking sides, which isn't very far really.
If you feel bad about shooting them, don't
If you feel bad about shooting them, don't
Final point: this is as far as I'm going to take it personally. Don't think we need to dwell on the matter.
