I just heard about the "XBox 360 Elite" which will be "Folding@Home" enabled and was checking on the 5punk wiki but didn't see it listed. I thought with the certificates you were getting maybe something to put in there?
Also, I don't see a link to
www.5punk.co.uk anywhere? You got a What? Why? When? but no
Where? ?? Maybe link it to the 5punk guy instead of the homepage since the homepage link is the first link in the nav box underneath it.

Good point, feel free to do to it what you want, I haven't a clue about Wiki's and all the content on there has been created by members, so feel free to use it (but not abuse it) as you will.
All sounds like good ideas narf

most likely only someone with ftp access can change that link as it's part of the template.
until then, maybe put a bit at the top of the first page to make it clear

Alrighty...I linked a few "5punk"s in the 1st paragraph to
www.5punk.co.uk and added a "Where is 5punk?" line.
I also added Folding@5punk at the bottom of Apps.

Hmm, XBox 360 Elite. I always suspected they'd do a black one with a bigger disk, but hoped they'd put the HDDVD in there too.

That Xbox Elite looks tempting, depending on the price. Any idea when it'll be available?

Tangent Rule#1 Don't give 5punk a reason to go on a tangent...it will happen anyways!

I think its pure lunacy not to. I mean, if you're gonna have an 'Elite' model, you'd want to go the whole hog with it. It's pretty naff looking to have a separate HD-DVD player, especially if they don't release one in 'Elite' black.

Especially when its £130 ONTOP of what you've already spent for your Xbox360.

I guess their strategy is that unlike the PS3, you get the choice. Although why there's not a Supar13337 option too confuses me - I suppose the cost of creating and manufacturing an incorporated design outweighs the profit they would get from people who are that bothered about having it all in one box.

Yeah, although there could be some problems with different people having different drives.
Also: Interesting note, the HD DVD drive isn't going to be released in black.

Aslong as the HD DVD drive can read regular DVDs? (Which I imagine it can, as backwards compatibility is all the rage, unless your Sony) then I shouldn't see why it would be a problem having a different drive.

It's not like there are going to be any HD-DVD games. Unless somehow all the 360's that do not have HD-DVD drives suddenly disappear, the HD-DVD drive will only be for movies. Since it's a game console first, you shouldn't be forced to pay more for something you may not need.

Granted, there are none announced or planned, but there's no reason the format couldn't have been used - I have at least two PS2 games (for example) which come on 2 DVDs, so the capacity requirement is there. Without it inbuilt, though no-one would dare release a game on it. Perhaps another slight advantage for the PS3.

That's my point. No one is going to make a game that won't run on the millions of Xbox360s that have already been sold. So really not including the HD-DVD drive into the console itself really isn't a bad move by Microsoft.
