Alright 5punkers, I saw some 'others' do this monthly on another gaming forum. Basically just a list of what games are reviewed in Edge this month and what they scored. Also, all release dates are UK, not 'Merkin.
Here they are anyway:
Motorstorm | PS3 | Release: 23rd March | 8/10
Virtua Fighter 5 | PS3 | Release: 23rd March | 8/10
Rogue Galaxy | PS2 | Release: June | 6/10
Def Jam: Icon | 360 | Release: Out Now | 5/10
God of War 2 | PS2 | Release: TBC | 7/10
Sonic & The Secret Rings | Wii | Out Now | 5/10
Trackmania United | PC | Out Now | 8/10
Burnout Dominator | PS2 (tested), PSP | Release: March 23rd | 7/10
Virtua Tennis 3 | 360, PS3(tested), PC, PSP | Release: March 23rd | 8/10
Lunar Knights | DS | Release: TBC | 7/10
Vampire's Rain | 360 | Release: TBC | 5/10
Diddy Kong Racing DS | DS | Release: TBC | 5/10
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters | PSP | Release: TBC | 7/10
Infernal | PC | Release: Out Now | 3/10
There's also a notable feature on The Crossing starting on page 50. If you find this useful then let me know and I'll do them every month .
Edge Review Scores 12/03/07

Yeah, me too, I rarely consider a review score to be important. I figured that if someone's interested enough, they can google the game and read lots of reviews. alternatively if a game considered to be a turkey gets a surprise high score, I'd look it up.Dog Pants wrote:I'm not sure how safe reproducing the review scores is on legal grounds, but personally I'd put a lot more faith in the actual review than on the score anyway.
No mention of S.T.A.L.K.E.R at all though, odd I thought.

Seems like a good idea. Edge were doing this on their own website a while ago but seem to have stopped now. This hasn't been updated for many months.
I tried that Ratchet and Clank PSP game and was thoroughly unimpressed. Nothing particularly broken just not that fun.

The Crossing
Ooh, my first sticky

I'm subscribed to Edge, personally I find it to be the least biased of the mags, plus it's good for what's going on in the games industry, as well as its reviews. Anyway, I'll keep doing an at a glance post of the scores along with anything else I reckon may be of interest to 5punk when the new issues roll around. Only drawback is that it can become a wee bit dull at times
I was considering doing a scan of the feature on The Crossing but I know that'd be less than acceptable from a copyright POV. It's worth reading if you come across a copy though. If, however, you don't get Edge, I'll make a separate post somewhere summarising the article.

Re: The Crossing
If everyone else is happy with this we could sticky each month's scores like we do with the game releases.tandino wrote:Ooh, my first sticky

I agree. It's harsh but fair in most cases as far as reviews are concerned but can be hard to read.tandino wrote:I'm subscribed to Edge, personally I find it to be the least biased of the mags, plus it's good for what's going on in the games industry, as well as its reviews. I suspect it's not a good idea.tandino wrote:I was considering doing a scan of the feature on The Crossing but I know that'd be less than acceptable from a copyright POV.
