This is still a proposal but will likely be the way it goes (it works for me). Dolly - can you let us know which belts you chose? 2 or 3 in each system would be best so we can get a bid in. I propose we only bid for one (free) belts at the moment in 8MJ though.
Fea- can you do the honours ? It's in CEO News
Geminate Colony Asteroid Belt Claiming
Asteroid belts in the Geminate Colony will be claimable, meaning that the claiming corporation will have exclusive mining rights in the belt, and that no other corporations may mine in the claimed belt without the consent of the claiming corporation. The claiming system is as follows.
Asteroid belts will be designated into three groups, Premium, Standard, and Unclaimable. A belt is defined as Premium if it is either in a solarsystem with a dockable outpost or if it contains one or more of the Arkonor, Bistot, or Crokite ores. A belt is Unclaimable if it contains the Mercoxit ore, because this resource is extremely rare. All other asteroid belts are classified as Standard.
Every corporation will be entitled to one free asteroid belt of their choice. If a corporation wishes to claim an additional belt, a fee must be paid. The fee for a Premium belt is thirty million (30m) ISK per month, and for a Standard belt is fifteen million (15m) ISK per month. This fee is to be transferred to the ISS Outpost [ISSOP] corporation before the first day of each month. If a fee for an additional belt is not paid on time, the CEO will be given a warning. If the fee is still not paid within one week, the belt claim will be revoked.
Because Premium belts are in limited supply, presently only one (1) Premium belt may be claimed by each corporation at any one time. As Premium belts become more available, this number will be increased.
Only unclaimed belts may be claimed. A list of claimed belts will be maintained by the Geminate Colony Regional Coordinator (%%name here%%) below. To claim a belt, first check that the asteroid belt is not listed below as being claimed. Then, send a message to the Regional Coordinator stating which belt you would like to claim. (You must be the CEO of your corporation to claim an asteroid belt.) If the Regional Coordinator confirms your claim, you may anchor a container at the asteroid belt and name it accordingly.
Mining may only take place in a claimed asteroid belt if the miners present have the consent of the claiming corporation. An asteroid belt does not count as being claimed unless it is listed below, even if the claiming proceedures have been completed. If a belt is unclaimed, the ore within it is free for all to mine. Note that mining proceedures for an unclaimed belt like spawn tanking are to be decided by the first miner to arrive at the belt.
Claimed Asteroid Belts

RLSI-V II - Asteroid Belt 1 (Standard Belt, 15m/month): ISS Navy Task horse
So is the proposed cost for belts be the only cost incurred for our new home? ie. are we still going to have to personally pay 'rent'?
I mean, 30mil does seem like alot for a premium belt however if each person only has to help with that (and not personal rent) it's deffinetly doable. Only one belt with the good stuff tho eh? Won't we tear thru that in the first few hrs of it spawning?
I guess it's to keep the rich corps from monopolizing belts. Perhaps a sliding scale could come into place.. somthing like:
1st premium = 30mil, 2nd = 50mil (cummilitave) 3rd = 100mil. It would allow for people to make better use, cost more so people won't just take it 'just because' and if it doesn't get paid for, the corp loses all rights for X amount of time. A harsh penalty would need to be in place for sure.
That's the only charge there is. Main problem is that there simply aren't that many belts, and as we know, not all belts are equal. Some have more roids than others.
friznit wrote:Since the best one had gone to ISSN already, I put a claim in for 8-6 which give us enough roids across the board I think.
yeah thats a good one friz, not #1 in high end category but its good throughout all the ores. #1 in jaspet, which next to kernite was my first love, damn i love that isogen and noxcium
So is this belt in BWF-? Or the next one over with the refinary?
Also, is PURE still shooting our ships? I skated thru one of their gatecamps last night, and within 3mins there were complaints bubbles were put up and ISS ships started dying soon after.
I was startled, and ended up staying in BWF overnight.
So not to hijack the thread but if they are still hostile is the little red box a possibility for easy ID? I flew into a gatecamp of 10 that if i was 3mins later would have ended up with the death of my ship and implant clone.
Quote from Count:
• PURE. (1026) - founded by Imperial Senate (CEO Lijah), former ISS. NAP
Guess it didn't last/wasn't set in stone to start with? (Well, as 'in stone' as things can be in this game)
They were setup in the system outside of BWF- on the bwf gate. We had a ton of ISS and PURE in BWF too, but the only hostilities seemed to be comming from that camp.
Anyhow, i'm lookin' forward to begining to mine again.
The standings are all devilishly confusing while people get used to us being around and settling in. We won't be setting anyone red in case we spark off aggression to someone who we're trying to NAP. Count is indeed seeking a NAP with PURE, although I can't see that happening narf. Meanwhile, treat everyone as hostile regardless of what they show as on your overview until you hear definite info otherwise. Currently the only people who shouldn't shoot are CI, F-E, IVY and ISS

Sweet!!! I've started moving my way over there. Looking to buying another BS, was even thinking about going with one of the t3's just to see how they do. But between that and/or doing a hulk. kinda tight in the wallet I should be out there tomorrow night or wednesday.
so; doing a hulk = shooting a static object in emp and getting bummed by concord
Doing a wiggy is the same, except during a fight so you have to post it on the KB
Doing Bomber, otoh = getting shot up by blues coz you didn't check the intel channel
