Is any body a lady in this club???

Post by Mr Beafy »

Hey all, just browsing through the photos and we noticed something. Everyone is a bloke....
Are there any ladies that play games or do they just not bother with our boyish antics?
(yes I am already taken so I am can ask without being a perv)

This does not include men that think they are ladies!

Now hows that for PC?

Yup, there is one, however she's not on the forum much, as she's getting hold of more peeps to play Final Fantasy online

There's a few in the Arcade such as Comma etc... but girls in general find gaming silly

i think apart from the fact, on a whole that girls aren't into gaming much, on sites such as this, any that are may not be open about it, through fear of perving.

i'm seen similar on b3ta and suchlike.

also, as a note, there's much higher likelyhood of autistic spectrum disorders* in men than women, as such you're more likely to find a larger quantity of men on websites** dedicated to thrill seeking or geeky activities, such as this one (and b3ta etc)

*ADD/ADHD/Aspergers

** or for that matter, using the internet to high levels.

Im currently in the process of "training up" my girlfriend in the mystical ways of Playing Games. She started off being one half of the controlls for Morrowind ("Stop running now, i need to hit him. stop running. Stop! STOP! gahhhhhhhhhh!"), but has now progressed on to the complexities (hoho) of Diablo 2. At which she kicks ass, somewhat worryingly.
My next move will be to get her into something a bit more complicated, like NWN, before trying to get the idea of mouselook into her head.

oh, she also really, really likes the typing of the dead :)

There's a couple of girls I know who come on my ET team's comms quite often, we are in fact considering opening a ladies team. People just have a tendency to act like arses towards women on the internet and gmaing in particular. Women in general just seemed to be less interested in computing related affairs; I know a few who are shit hot at fps games, but they never admit to being girls when they are on servers, as people just act like knobends at them

Is that true or do I detect an aromatic bovine aroma somewhere in the distance? Furthermore tis a shame my other half no longer plays..... she actually said last night to the wombat and myself that it would be better if it was more 'real' to which we were a bit taken back by.

I didnt know that, but after talking with my good mother (who works in a special needs department) it would appear that this is true. You learn a new thing every day.

Also; I think we should have a ladies night, try and get the girlyfriends on CoD or UT2004. Worth a giggle, methinks.
