2014 Nominations: Fail of the Year
Welcome to the nominations thread for the 5punk Fail of the Year. This is a bit of an experimental award for which nominations can be from any source, but which are for spectacular and hilarious failure. The slant is more towards high profile occurrences in order to avoid the award becoming an exercise in humiliating 5punker - we have the Meat Shield award for that - but for this year at least there are no restrictions. Please post your nominations below, a poll will be taken in the New Year to determine the winner.

I nominate game launches as the biggest fail this year. Halo: Master Chief Collection, AC: Unity, Driveclub, The Crew, and more have launched in the most broken way.

I'll go with Games Journalism as a whole, for goobergate, and the ridiculous manner the whole lot was handled.

I was going to nominate Ubisoft for this and other stupid things they've done this year. Also for Uplay.deject wrote:I nominate game launches as the biggest fail this year. Halo: Master Chief Collection, AC: Unity, Driveclub, The Crew, and more have launched in the most broken way.

Yeah I almost just said Ubisoft, but it isn't all them. How about we have both on the list!Dog Pants wrote:I was going to nominate Ubisoft for this and other stupid things they've done this year. I have to throw a vote in for either games journalism (it's actually about ethics) or almost all player communities, whether official forums or Subreddits (sorry Grimmie) - our quiet corner is obviously an exception. Never has there been a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than these places. Way worse than Mos Eisley.

Polls are up, voting ends on the 11th of Jan.
