Am I the only one who thinks free weekends are a bit pointless? I like the look of SRIV but there's no way I'm downloading gigabytes worth of game just to have a quick go. Just doesn't seem worth the effort.

Depends on the game and the speed of your internets I suppose. With our connection I can download something the size of SRIV in about the time it would take me to go make a cup of tea, so if it is something I was interested in but wasnt sure about I would absolutely do it to give the game a quick go. If I was on internet like my parents have it would take me hours, so I probably wouldn't bother.

I don't see it as generally pointless, if you've got a decent Internet connection. Not much point for me personally as I'm not particularly interested in the series.

I will give it a go as it won't take me that long to download and I'm very likely to buy the game at some point anyway so I'll be able to jump straight in

Free weekends are awesome, even with shitty connections, gives you a nice go with a game and an affordable option to buy it if you like it.

I tend to get around the shit internets issue by setting downloads starting at bedtime, just about any game on steam will be done by morning, or worst case, the evening after.

Its also down to £15 which isn't an unreasonable price imho, probably turn up for a tenner or less in a few months though.
