I have just bought this and thought its own thread would be best.
For my $11.99 I now have 2x Steam keys and 2x Chrome keys. I only want a Steam key so that leaves three copies of the game I'm giving away. If you want one of each key, well that'll depend on interest. I can't be bothered to ask people to wire me such a small amount (unless you really want to), make up it at a bash sometime!
Oh and it would be nice if you were genuinely interested and don't ask for one on a spur of the moment, what the hell type of thing
I was interested but given the amount of time I have(n't) to play games I thought I'd leave it for someone else. However, if nobody else is interested then I'll find the time!
Sent to you Pants. I'm still surprised no one else has a keen eye on this, I've been seeing articles about it for months.
So that leaves the two Chrome keys which will be even harder to shift I presume. I'll post thoughts once I get around to playing to maybe entice people.
i hadnt heard of this so i looked it up and I'm surprised i hadn't heard of it, definitely sounds like my cup of tea so i wouldn't say no to one of those keys if you dont mind
Ta very much, just had a play about and it is quite fun although i do seem to keep dying by the second night and cant find gold for the life of me.
I did set fire to things with my campfire though much to my amusement
Edit: after playing a bit more and figuring out how the research works I'm hooked, i made a lovely hat, grew a beard and then i was eaten by a few dozen spiders when i took a stroll in the night. There's definitely a lot more to this game than there appears to be on the surface and it plays much smoother than i thought it would from the trailers and bits i saw
I've got a good 30 days or so in, but I'm struggling with the amount of manual labour I need to do. I seem to spend far too much of my time collecting and trying to prepare food, and the further I have to go for that the more hungry I get. It means I'm struggling to find time to explore and find new resources. That said, I am making steady progress. Last game I made an alchemy machine before I was killed by a tentacle. I suppose in hindsight all that free spider meat lying around on the ground was something of a hint.

I've started making my base camp next to clusters of rabbit holes, they pop their heads up in the night if there's light so i just put a few traps down over the holes and gather loads of meat over night
I didn't know that. Good tactic, I'll be stealing that one - no more wasting precious food on bait, especially since it's inevitably carrots I run out of for my stew.
Thirty minute first impressions are that the game has a great feel, great fundamentals and from poking around on the forums and a ten second glance at a guide (I don't want to be told stuff really) a lot more going on than you'd guess, as bits mentioned.
I just hope they add some overarching progression in some form, a little story or even, dare I say, quests. It's based on an roguelike-lite sandbox-ish open world, and that shouldn't and can't be radically changed, and should always remain a game mode option. But with such games I generally need something beyond gameplay to keep me going, which is why I parted ways with Minecraft long ago. If they add that though the save system needs to be carefully done. As someone commenting on Jim Rossignol's game put it "Getting rid of the frustration while keeping the tension." If it stays as it is then I can see it being a good laptop/tablet game while on the sofa, bus or train, but I doubt I'll sit at my PC to play it.
I better put in a couple of hours before finalising that judgement though.
I'm liking this. Although I can't figure out how to kill a rabbit. I can trap it okay, it's in my inventory, but I don't seem to have any option to kill it. If I put it down and attack it just runs away. I could read the wiki, etc. but I don't want all the other info that comes with it.
