Re: Deadpool Game
I just hope they don't voice him like Michaelangelo (the turtle) like they have in other games. Super excitement imminent.

Hhhngn.
Activision publishing and Activision's High Moon Studio is doing the development, they aren't exactly known for good games.
I expect the announcement to be tied into the Deadpool film in some way.

Re: Deadpool Game
I've never been into comics, but I wouldn't consider myself ignorant to the major/not-so-major characters. Still, never heard of him so excitement level zero.

We're going to have to shun you now.
Shuuuuuuun. Shuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun...
Re: Deadpool Game
I have heard of him, but I otherwise mirror this opinion. I predict a bland third person action game. As ever, I hope I'm wrong and it turns out to be a great game, but movie tie-ins don't have a good track record.Thompy wrote:I've never been into comics, but I wouldn't consider myself ignorant to the major/not-so-major characters. You are missing out on all the awesome.Thompy wrote:I've never been into comics, but I wouldn't consider myself ignorant to the major/not-so-major characters. Still, never heard of him so excitement level zero.

As there is no movie at the moment, its not necessarily a movie tie in. I would be OK with it being a steaming turd of a game if it was a movie tie in though, purely because that would mean there is a movie.Dog Pants wrote:but movie tie-ins don't have a good track record.

Bang bang bang! Pew pew!
Well, that trailer tells you nothing much, other than it doesn't have particularly amazing graphics. I shall await more infos.

Re: Deadpool Game
Well that didn't really do much for me. Was it trying to be ironic with all the boobies and other lowbrow/violence humour? It made me think of Duke Nukem, and how that humour was part of its poor perception and ultimate reception. Maybe (because of earlier revelation) I just don't get the character, or have years of geek spasms waiting to explode.
Anyway, a bad trailer won't make me not play it if it's a good game.

Re: Deadpool Game
Not heard of him either, the trailer looked like a cross between Duke Nukem and Spider Man, with the twin swords plus guns reminding me of Bloodrayne. I like two of those things a lot, but can't help feeling that snappy one-liners which work well in a movie or comic will irritate the piss out of me when repeated endlessly in a game.

Re: Deadpool Game
I'm afraid this does nothing but annoy. The shitty graphics are shit. Also I think the one liners will be poured on and do nothing but bug the shit out of me.
Still, I'll not give up on it just yet.

an unfortunate by-product of scrolling down to read the comments in the top of the screen is all about deadpool's junk. Should have tucked the boy up.
