Monaco: What’s Yours Is Mine

Post by Thompy »

I first heard of this a couple of months back and it has all the makings of a hilarity inducing co-op game. It just looks damn good too.

First proper bit of non-trailer gameplay footage:

It's hard to see what's going in there, and I've been aware of Monaco without any real interest. However, I'm keeping an open mind that this could be quite good. Hopefully we'll get a demo or something.

At first I thought the shadow system made the whole screen too flashy and hard to tell what's going on, but when watching a video you're trying to watch every bit of it. I guess once you're used to the controls/icons/objectives and are focusing primarily on your own guy it probably won't be an issue. I think (and hope) that what frantic, clueless gameplay there is will be a selling point.

I think RPS had a go on the console version of this sometime early last year. They rather liked it.

Probably one to keep an eye on.
