I would be telling you how awesome batmang is, if it weren't for the fact that it has games for windows live's dick so far up it's bits that it's basically breathing shittilly thought out drm jizz. On top of that you can't play it without the cd in the drive! Yeah, I know this should have been bought on steam, but it was a present. But now I wish i rather asked for the cold hard sterling...

Anyone know a way around this? Because fuck having to make a gfwl account...

I saw a pic earlier detailing the rigmarole of installing Batman, so I just started it on Steam to find out myself. It all worked okay, but had to input the game code twice (fortunately copy n paste worked) and restart the game manually for a GFWL update, with some button pushes required. Some publishers sure hate PC gamers.

And Dog Pants posted the pic I saw while I typed this.

I had the same problem with Arkham Asylum.
It took me something silly like 30 minutes before I was actually playing the game after the install finished. Lots of fucking around with GFWL.

Hence why as excited as I am for Arkham City, I'm not buying it until it's on bugdet. Hopefully I'll be able to buy a budget retail GOTY edition in 12 months time, with which I won't have problems when it comes to cracking it (so that GFWL isn't used).
