If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Monitors bitches!

Post by HereComesPete »

Word!

After a busy few months moving the wifey in, tripping over scatter cushions and the like I took a well earned break in the big smoke. I had fancy food and drink, went round the war museum pointing lots, sat in traffic watching taxi prices rise like a 14 year old's chode on the school bus at the hint of nipple. The usual.

So after dropping enough money to pay for a foreign holiday for two for a few weeks in our nations capital, I returned home to find the secondary monitor had died. It's about 4-5 years old so it's had a good run, but it needs replacing.

So, anyone bought a new monitor recently? Any of you monitor geek's out there aware of the latest bang for buck screen? Looking at 22/24 inches (cor blimey) Budget is not huge, I've just shelled out on a tv, washing machine and tumble drier too. :(

Just been looking into the same thing actually.

I've almost settled on one of these.

IPS/LEDs are just coming into a good price point in the 23" market. Infact, this is one of the cheapest, and reports seem consistently good. One review people kept citing was complaining about response times and ghosting but various end users have shown no such thing.
