I'm totally down with the return of Wednesday CS:S. Friday should probably be OK too, but I prefer Wednesday just because that's when it used to be.

I've already 5cheduled a slot in for gaming on friday, with a suggestion of CS:S. I don't mean a weekly game again, but thought it might attract some interest for this week at least. :likesitall:

Can't do wednesdays though because I'm now working wed evenings in a pub again, but fridays are all good for me.

'tis a game I enjoy, and any day would be okay. Hopefully won't be ruined by people coming on TS and belming "BeeeeeeeeeF" making everyone leave :)

Monday for me, plus I would love to try out some "decent" custom maps and avoid the map selection we used to use as that is what put me off playing in the end because it became so boring.

I could go for a one-off game, if we can get enough people together for the lolz. I don't know whether I could cope with a regular game, although I do miss the old girl, she got me back into PC gaming.

Hehe, I promise I won't - Girl Guide's honour. :)

Mondays are normally ok for me, as are fridays. Weds are definitely off now, and tuesdays and thursdays vary from week to week.

I wouldn't mind CS:S on thursdays. Our beef server died so that opens up the thursday night (since future beef has stolen the wednesdays)

I'm reinstalling it over steam right now. I'll try to jump in when I see a game.

I'm definitely up for Deathmatch if possible, I always said that CS:S would be great as a team deathmatch game!

How would that work? I tried to get the CSS:DM plugin for metamod working to see, but failed.

Would players earn money the same way, or simply choose their preferred weapons at spawn? Part of what keeps CSS reasonably fair is that longer-ranged, faster-firing and larger clip-sized weapons are more expensive (notwithstanding the stupid modifications made of late).

Presumably the objectives (rescue hostages, plant bomb) are removed, but no-one bothers with them much when there's shootin' to be done.

I suppose it removes the waiting when dead, but I find it quite interesting to watch other people's styles - less so when people hide somewhere, though. A kill-cam would be a good replacement for this, though.

I don't know how well the existing maps would work, as they're based around well-established choke points. Even custom DM maps don't always work well as TeamDM - CoD's method of spawning you near teammates can be annoying when the enemy has them pinned down.

I suppose it's worth a try for a few rounds, but like zombie mod it might a get a bit repetitive over a lot of rounds.
