The Battle for ISS Tycho

Post by friznit »

Last night rocked! Despite the lag, the blobs, the POS warfare and the fact that ultimately we lost, it was still bloody good fun. 2 ISS POS got popped, another put into reinforced and SoD anchored 6 in system so they'll be getting sov in the next 5 days or so. But we nailed loads of their bs's and a carrier in a very fair fight (it was outside our POS, surrounded by dreads and 3 hostile fleets). Tycho may fall, but we didn't let it go without acquitting ourselves honourably. ISS stood shoulder to shoulder with U'K and held our heads high against the combined horses of IAC, Goons and SoD. We were outnumbered 3 to 1 but still took at least as many ships down as we lost.

The best bit for me was watching the aftermath of the 8-1 fight when we took down the carrier. The the battlefield strewn with wrecks, abandoned drones, frigs still out there desparately trying to make it back to the POS and the realisation that 80 of us had gone up against 300 and taken down a cap ship. :excited:

SOD getting the outpost? WTF?

Why do they even want one? Aren't they NPC station pirates?

Cheers for the summary anyway, I'm always keen to know what happened.

Rumour has it they plan to sell it to the highest bidder though Lord only knows who'd be dumb enough to buy that particular outpost.

^what Friz says

the other option, I suppose, is that they will move up from Litom/Doril and become "proper" 0.0 alliance rather than hiding out in an NPC station ganking pipe traffic.

If that happens, then my vote is we assign a detachment of ISSN / ISS PvP pilots to Doril/Litom and make their lives hell. With that and G-aoth covered we can make their lives as unpleasent as they've been making ours.

Last night's OP was teh Woo except fro the laaaag. I petitioned one BS loss fro that (lost 2, but one was Algeys .... :o ), see what happens.

Online time might be a bit thin on the ground this week as Bubble wasn't so impressed with me spending all sunday in front of the PC. She still rolls her eyes everytime she hears "Connecting" or "Warp drive active"

Of course in my new role as trainee PvP / ship demolision expert I've tyurned the sound off so she laughs at Vent instead

Damn right you lot aquited yourselfs properly. Honestly, I expected all the marginis outposts to be gone by last tuesday so well played.

Aso, don't know if you saw this kill last night. Made me smile 8)

Also, depending upon where this whole imp becoming curse alliance things goes, we might down your way in a week or so, and there's no love loss between us and priory :)

Ta for the encouragement Hehulk and we look forward to seeing you up our way (just stay away from ISS gate camps hmmkay?)

On another note, I can't speak fro the whole of ISS but I certainly feel that this somewhat valliant fight in the face of pretty overwhelming odds has helped galvanise morale rather than crumble it. I think we're a stronger team, at our core, now than we were 2 months ago.

Pewrhaps losing the outposts will turn out to be the best thing that's happened to us. For sure IAC et all will be expecting ISS to cease to exist after they've "smashed" us. I think they're going to be in for an (unpleasant) surprise :ahoy:

Eugh, alliances. No offence ment, but we've decided alliances suck, lots of blueness sucks, and we're just going to go solo. I can say with all honesty, that baring the -V- corps (who are only blue for the moment) we have no blue, little red and a nice sweet NBSI policy that starts in 0.4 8)

We're something in the middle. We're all happy to engage in low sec when bored, and hunt down enemy corps in low sec and 0.0, but we don't want to pirate to the point that we lock ourselves from empire. That'd cause problems for all these war decs we keep trying to cause with people like Pure., The Unassotiated, RA etc.

So long story short, stick clear of frulegur and I'll give you advance notice when/if we're on the doril pipe since I seem to be senior FC ( :faint: :? ) :P

Goons are going to make a bid for Consido/Fabrica next week. All of them.

May the lag be with you

To be fair they did offer 10mill isk for it last night. You could summarise our reply quite simply as 'Er, no?'
