As happens every so often, it's time to look at what we're running on bukkake again.
Currently we're running:
Code: Select all
SHOUTcast 32 Slots
SHOUTcast 10 Slots
Swat 4
Battlefield 2 - POE2
Soldat Server
CS Source
Garry's Mod 10
Half Life 2 DM
Half Life TFC
Call Of Duty: United Offensive
Ravenshield
As far as i can see, all we're currently using are
Code: Select all
Shoutcast
Soldat
CoD:UO
Ravenshield
As far as what we can run, that's pretty much unlimited (obviously no beef ranked servers)
Go on then, speak

What about the Trackmania one?, wasn't that quite popular? (although not with 5punkers
)

it was, but it never really got used by 5punkers.
Basically the servers do very little to pull new members in, so we're better to aim more at what we're playing, than what might attract people.

how dificult is it to pick and choose? is it just a case of remoting into bukkake and exiting one dedicated server, and booting another? (i'm having visions of a web based admin only screen with push buttons, press 1 to run cod:uo, press 2 for sauce, press three for an other game, press 4 for horses)
i dont know what other games we play that arent there, and as you say, alot of games only stay played for a while, and then dissapear

it's not so difficult to choose what gets run at any given time (and given most of the servers are usually empty, it doesn't hurt to leave them on)
however, bukkake only has an 80gb hard drive, which limits how much can actually be installed (which is also a bit of pain in the arse and needs doing by remote desktop)
and it looks something like

You can probably dump OFP. I think I've bored everybody enough with that (and the new one will be out soon).

Half Life 2: Follow Freeman co-op.
Currently available in Route Kanal and Water Hazzard flavour.
Client download and Server download.
http://www.mercilessdevelopment.com/
All the public servers have a latency of 10 hours.
Would be quite nice to give this a prod on a speedy server with many people.

shouldn't be too difficult, but as with all things (especially steam games) it depends how retarded the devs are

Joose and I, and Tezz and I have tried it out a few times.
It's very good, but with pings of 400+ It's difficult to enjoy.
'Specially good when you get to the airboat bit and 8 people are trying to squeeze through a tiny gap.

Pure hilarity when 20 people are all trying to get their airboat over a tiny ramp. Especially when a chopper is also trying the take them out XD.

The source engine needs a good coop game that works well. Sven Coop for Source is nowhere to be seen.
