Just so you don't hear it from anyone else...

Post by Wiggy »

I never honestly thought I'd write this: I've decided to leave 5punkorp.

I've been in this corp for eighteen and a half months now, and I've never had the fortune, in any game bar none, to work with such a bunch of like minded, intelligent and, above all, fun individuals. That said, I feel it's time I spread my wings, flew the nest and got a different view of the game. I've been feeling it becoming a little stale over the past month or so, possibly in part due to constant 'grinding' just to get new stuff and not actually going out, shooting things, losing ships and pods (good start, eh?) and having a laugh.

Don't worry though, I won't be going completely: Jonny will remain in Fw4ppers, with Fea and Dres' blessings of course, plans will come to fruition, and I'll still whore this site like a bastard.

I'm just about to put in my application to the ISS Navy Task horse, I seriously hope I can make it fun for myself again and kick some arse. And wipe out that big minus score on ISIS, it makes me look silly. :)

Oh, and if I ever decide to come back, you'll be in for the bumming of a lifetime!

Cor blimy, and here was me thinking I'm the only one who does things like that.

T'was a pleasure flying with you when I was 5punk Wiggy (and a few times when I wasn't 8)) and I'm sure you'll do ISSN proud with your more than competant PVP skills. Go rape some ass mate :)

Good luck Wiggy, it has been a pleasure drifting about space with you.

That is great news for ISSN as they sure as hell need you.

I doubt I'll see any less of you as you'll be based in KDF instead of ZX mostly.

Ohh goody, <strike>more meat for the slaughter</strike> capable pilots for the Navy. I'll put in a good word with the top brass so you won't have any issues joining (recruiting is technically closed at the moment).

For everyone else: don't forget about the ISSN secondment programme. You can come along for a few months to play and go back to 5punkorp whenever.

Meanwhile, I too feel that 5punkorp has lost direction slightly. It's been about getting a freighter, carrier and 5punkships all year, and now that's done, what's next? We need a new goal to drive us forward. I'd like to see a really capable 5punkfleet personally. Anyone else got any ideas?

I was thinking of the same!! The hard work that u guys done to get cap ships etc. So maybe we focous on spunkfleet and have fun! train and be better at pvp. I been training on my Leadership skills for bounes in combat or mining.

Also maybe have a chance in doing a complexe? Earning isk that way faster what u think? i done 10/10 in the past and geez i made loads.

Well, since you've asked for ideas

-Leave ISS
-Re-form as a PVP corp
-Sell anything related to POS gear, buy BS BPOs
-Form a nice alliance and invide some close allies in
-Go set the north on fire

when he talks he mumbles ... when he types, I can hear him quite clearly... hmmmm :P

not sure we're disciplined enough to stand on our own mate. Poor old Friz was running that POS chain pretty much alone till recently :whew:

Ideas (on a slightly smaller scale than Hehulk's)

- iirc we don't own a carrier (Marylin is Count's right?) let's build our own
- Dread
- consider moving from catch once it gets boring again, ISS are all over EVE, another locale (somewhere more edgy, kinda like Marge used to be) anyone? (sorry, I said small scale ... right, back on track)
- alternatively perhaps revisit the Tenerifis contract idea? I don't think I'm very interested but others might be
- some clever idea regarding moving on ship production (which I think those of you who know what you're doing are already well on top of)
- Consider some sort of programme for wanna-be pvpers to take up the offer of ISSN secondment and then return to form a <strike>defensive</strike> navy wing within 5punk. I don't suggest isk input here, just perhaps a sort of policy (like new players coming in through fw4ppers, pvpers are then encouraged to take up the secondment programme for x months). I'm considering asking you to put me up for this secondment thingy myself; do you know what time commitment they require? I don't want to be terrified taking a raiding gang out (and I am a bit atm, which is silly, what with it being a game and all :faint: )

That's it for the idea, but I haven't had much beer yet. Doubtless I'll be on agon later with more <strike>wisdom</strike> shite :ahoy:

I know this was brought up before, and the costs were pretty high, but I happen to know of some private parties that I am fairly sure can be trusted that are working toward capital production. Would it be possible to slide them some isk to help them get started? I've even considered helping them by putting a bpo on a research slot for them, they just can't quite afford any for the capitals yet! (Quite understandable, but wondering if we could request a ship for return for each bpo we buy, and loan the bpo's to them for their use?)

More ideas of course, but we do have quite a few miney types in Fw4pp at the moment, so twould be a shame to move completely away from production/POS'ing. I somewhat propose that we make Fw4pp our production division, and 5punk our ISS support/0.0 division.

Of course, I come up with disposable ideas on a whim, but one out of a hundred works out, and it's getting close to that number of ideas now....
