Some information on exploration

Post by Hehulk »

High Sec

Sites located in High sec seem to be a mix of low sec ore (hedbergite, hemorphite, kernite etc), complexes rating up to 4/10s, minor hacking sites (which release datacores mainly, but in rare cases data interface BPCs and encription skillbooks) and encounters that may or many not escelate (Send you off to do a second, and if really lucky a third missions, they get harder).

At this time both complexes and encounters seem to be buged, as neither are droping any kind of special loot or overseer effects.

Low sec

Much the same as high sec sites, except the ore gets better (dark ochre, gneiss, crokite too apparently, but only really small quantities), complexes go up to 6/10 in difficulty, hacking sites yeld more datacores, but have much better defences (heard stories of lv4 mission sized BS fleets) and encounters are also generally harder.

low quality 0.0

exploration belts have large quantities of bistot, crokite and arkonor. Complexes up to and beyond the difficulity of a 10/10, hacking sites that drop yet more datcores, but have entire fleets defending them. Not heard anything about encounters.

Not heard anything about the quality of really decent quality 0.0, but looking at the available data, I can imagine what they must be like.

Also, gas clouds seem to be common, but the gear/skills for harvesting them has very low drop rates, so prices for both are currenctly in the billions.

Also, it can take several hours, even with the new skills trained, to probe down a site, so you know.

So probing a system could be something that could be charged for? I wonder if you can bookmark these spots then, and sell bookmarks?

Also, I'm guessing it takes a lon time if scanning is done solo, how long if you have 10 peep with you? Think it would make a difference?

/me ceases his wild ideas and goes to work....

Actually, 10 people doing it might not be a bad idea, except you might use up alot more probes doing it that way.
