Brum Bash VI Aftermath
Hi Basherinos,
Thanks for helping make one of the biggest (and in my opinion the best) Brum Bashes yet!
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/grimmie/4691503489/" title="DSC_0465 by Grimmie, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4023/469 ... 4ea6c3.jpg" width="500" height="462" alt="DSC_0465"></a>
We had a big four-day bonanza complete with a theme park, briefly a zoo, a big ol' barbeque, and hours upon hours of beardy goodness.
Thanks to Berk, Will and Bobbins for making food and bringing it along for us to devour in the first few minutes.
Thanks to Will and Shada for coming along to their first bash, and thanks to Tandino and Pnut for coming to their first Brum Bash.
Thanks in particular to Joose who ran a marathon session of Shadowrun on Sunday, and helped people create their own special characters.
Finally, thanks to everyone who came along, donated moneys, bought booze, and made this a fantastic extended weekend.
Without 5punkers the Brum Bash is just me getting drunk in an empty house with more food than I could possibly ever eat..
<b>Lost and found</b>
We found a HTC phone charger discarded by the computer, Pete's taken it home on the off-chance it's his. If it's yours, contact Pete.
We also found a pair of black reading glasses, which we think are Jock's.
<b>Finally..</b>
Leave any feedback from the Bash here, is there anything you really liked and would like to do again?
Is there anything you think could be improved upon (pandemonium ride restraints notwithstanding)?
Thanks for helping make one of the biggest (and in my opinion the best) Brum Bashes yet!

Only thing I'd change was to make sure we remember to check what's in a fire extinguisher before we spray ourselves with it.
Beardiness was fun, even for the non-participants. Console was good for non-bearders too. Earplugs for blocking out snorers. A predefined list of episodes of Spartacus which have bewbs in.
That is all.

Yes, thanks to Joose for helping make my, quite literally, 'special' beardy character. It was a most enjoyable entry into the world of beards, I hope Geoffrey the quadriplegic mage will make a return.Grimmie wrote:Thanks in particular to Joose who ran a marathon session of Shadowrun on Sunday, and helped people create their own special characters.
And many thanks to Grimmie (and your Mum and Dad!) for letting us into your house again and taking on the herculean challenge of herding 5punkers!

See you next time!

Brill weekend. Thanks for making it an enjoyable first time. The only damage over the entire weekend was inflicted on myself, by myself. So, that's a damn sight better than other weekends I've had.
Next time, I want to get in on the beardy fun.
Also, i hope to see a return to Frank-Sidebottom West. The handbag slinging legoheaded ladies suit wearer and zombie killer.

Well I hated it. It sucked. No 5punkers turned up, just a spotty kid and an angry female. No, wait, I was at home.*
Sounds like a great bash, hopefully I can make the next one. I've not been for years now I think. Glad to see some people enjoyed the beardage - it's probably far easier to understand face-to-face. I'm surprised they let you back out of the zoo.
*My weekend wasn't that bad really

Bash was most AWESOME!! Huge thanks to Grimmie for managing to herd us 5punkers to Drayton for a fantastic day on some of the most brutal instruments of torture ever devised!
Big big thanks to all who attended and for making another fantastic Bash.
I just never realised how many of you fuckers snore!!
So many highlights. Shada's horse punching, all the rides, gaems on wii and sexbox, all were most amusing.
Never got a chance to beard but interest was tweaked... next time!

There is nothing I can add to this, everything was just fucking awesome, and once I got the hang of it beards were fantastic, will play again and will probably try and make a character myself next time.
And more importantly, seeing as how there seem to be more and more bash attendees each time, we might have to consider moving things to a bigger area, like my house. I'll keep you all posted.

Yes all of the above! Was most enjoyable
Themepark was good fun, I was surprised how well behaved we all were actually
Well done to pete warming and prodding berk's meat to perfection, twas lovely.
And discovered a new softcore porno version of 300 vs Gladiator. Much win.
Most of all well done yet again Grim, master of plans and bashes.
See you all next time, wherever it may be

That was indeed some awesome bashage. Its made me really want a dedicated Beardbash now though! That was great fun. I shall piece together what happened on the two runs and write them up for all to
at.
Things what worked good:
Day trip to theme park. So much opportunity for things to go badly wrong, but it actually went amazingly well. Enjoyed that a lot. My man-area didnt.
Burgers! Sausages! Tasty meats, and no one got sick.
The extra bit of time by having it Friday-Monday meant I felt less like I had to squeeze every possible second of enjoyment out of it, which left it a lot more relaxed and fun.
Suggestion for next time:
The pizzas worked well once we had stopped arguing about shrooms. How about next time we agree on the 2-3 types of pizza we will order way ahead of time, on the forum? Then we have time to discuss the pros and cons of sauces without Berk going mad and killing people.
