I'm not quite sure what google wave is, could you explain what it is in ten words or less?

What it isn't is anything to do with IM or email, which Google stupidly compared it to when it went in to beta.

Quite, I was in the beta along with a few other 5punkers.
I felt that it could be massively useful for something, but I'm not sure what yet.

It just says "You are not a participant in this wave." when I click. Am I doing it wrong?

It worked for me, included me in a disco board sort of affair.

I presume we have to get invited to join an existing wave as that link doesn't work for me either.
