It's collaborative documents. The Beardy GMs could conceivably find it useful.
Possibly mods and admins too, I guess.

What it isn't is anything to do with IM or email, which Google stupidly compared it to when it went in to beta.

Quite, I was in the beta along with a few other 5punkers.
I felt that it could be massively useful for something, but I'm not sure what yet.

possibly, but in the meantime i expect people will mostly figure out a way to use it for porn in some way

I presume we have to get invited to join an existing wave as that link doesn't work for me either.
