2K Games has launched the official website for Irrational's Bioshock. It's the usual fare of media essentials (including a link to the new trailer) enhanced by a creepy 40s-era motif. If anything, the attention to detail on the site is a reminder that Irrational isn't playing around. Having earned numerous 'Best of Show' awards at E3 this year, Bioshock is certainly a game we should look forward to.Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

I have to say, I'm really excited about this. It's got a lot of potential, but it seems a lot more understated than Stalker.

I'm not entirely convinced by these non-linear single player games but I've been keen to get my hands on this one for sometime.

That already gives me the fear. I've recently been playing system shock 2 for the first time (it's a bugger to get working on XP without fuckloads of fiddling).
If Bioshock's atmosphere is half as eerie as System Shock's, I'll be brownpanting it all the way.

Really? It worked pretty much flawlessly for me, I set it to Win98 compatibility mode and went to town.

Also, what mods are you using? This one and this one will make the game prettier which is good.

Yeah mate, had a good few issues with all the movies etc (swept it up). Runs like an effing dream now though. I'm definately using rebirth and pretty sure I'm using SHTUP as it does look pretty. Those bits with random ghosts and the monkeys *shudders*

Good fun though, especially playing late at night with all my speakers working. It feels like a kind of spiritual predecessor to Deus Ex, anything like that can't be bad.

I'm liking the idea of Bioshock. Always fascinated by the Utopian society gone mad thing. Looks like it'll be a real chiller.
