Looks more AvP2 than AvP, but it's still awesome.

I think it was always going to look more like AvP2, which if we're honest, was closer to the films stylistically anyway.

As long as it plays as slick as AvP1 though, I'll be rather happy.

Also stoat, can we have GT videos URL appended for the BB Media tag?
From: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/survi ... s-vs/61447 (website address you get)
To: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/61447.html (video player you need)

Haha, smacking a xenomorph down with the butt of a M41a, methinks the Marines might be slightly hardier than they should be but it's all good fun :)

Also, technically Grimmie, this is AVP3 :)

you type with your tongue? Ew.

Also, I've now retype the word Tongue so many times that it no longer looks right. Tongue tongue Tongue. Looks like it should be pronounced tonn-goo.

Tung...

It's like queue, does it need the extra ue? Possibly or we'd all be getting it confused with our manuel impressions. Does it need either ue? It sounds the same that way Q, but then maybe we'll get annoyed at immortal omnipotent beings with a fine range of sarcasm and xenophobia appearing in our spaceship all the time.

Anyway...

I look forward to screaming like a girl and firing ALL MY BULLETS at once away from the aliens because I'm to freaked out to aim straight. I'll probably kill all of you in the process.

Hmm, just installed, first thing I'm really impressed by is the fact that "invite friends" is linked into the Steam Overlay. Nice handy feature, although, does mean that it looks to be p2p based and a bit consolified MP.

But considering I'm buying it for the SP, I couldn't care less about that.

Now I'm going to sleep, I'll see if I can find any MP games tomorrow.

That's just for the demo.

Dedicated servers have been confirmed for the full game.

Oh really, excellent.

I've just had a go on multiplayer, it's very polished visual wise on high and it plays at a decent framerate. Gameplay seems ok, a little bit sluggish if you're a Marine, but fine for the Alien. I didn't play as a Predator.

Crouch has gone though, which is why I got mullered as an Alien, it's been replaced by "transition" and a seemingly semi-permacrouched Alien except for when you rear up to attack. Threw me off as I'm used to having to hold ctrl and being able to drop on a whim, "transition" requires you to hold it down for about half a second before it takes affect, it's a noticable delay.

Aliens and Predators have killing moves, performed by grappling the target and clicking attack. Leaves you quite vunerable though as you can't break out of it. Marines shoot stuff.

Everyone has regenning health in MP (but can be boosted there and then by using one of the two health packs you carry as Pred/Marine or by picking up the health kits around the place as a Marine), but not in single if the tips on the loading screens are correct.

I think SP is going to be amazing, it certainly feels like the middleground between AVP1 and AVP2 and seems to be shaping up well. I think MP is shaping up to be an optional extra but it might be a fun 5punky one, hopefully they'll include a Skirmish mode like AvP1.

I've got high hopes for it.
