Just had a thought: Most of the games we are likely to be playing at proflan are likely to not be on my machine at the moment. To save me installing everything when we get there, how about a list of games we are likely to play, and the patch versions etc they should be at, so I can get as much sorted before hand as possible?

Hmm good idea, someone's usally bored of a game by the time everyone has installed and patched
Counter Strike - load steam up before going to see if has updates
Battlefield 2 - Patch 1.41

I know beef is a likely game to be played, but I think I'll wait to see how often it will be played when I get there :o..

i'd be suprised if beef got played much - last proflan it barely got touched (needs too many people)
on the other hand quake 4 was jolly good fun.

by my reconing, probably some combo of this lot:
css/hl2dm/garrys mod?
smidgen of beef. perhaps the rally version
quake4 (bobbins, the guy who has your disk has fucked off somewhere, the pikey cupcake. you can have mine)
cod of some sort maybe
trackmania nations or maybe other racing??? any ideas?
company of heroes maybe
airfix dogfighter (or some fight sim??)
all open to suggestions!!
a list of games that everybody has would be handy to make sure things dont get bogged down waiting for installs as mentioned.
If need be i suppose could co-ordinate some kind of floorware mailshot.

And the above list looks good, flight sim sounds fun!, also various Valve/Sourcy things are always good for laugh

I can reccoment the sven map toonrun for general mayhem and luls aplenty, or the bigger maps that require a full group, such as the RPG maps where each mission really does require you to work in a team.

The beards (Hehulk, Grimmie, Joose) have decided in part..
Starcraft: Brood War
Dawn of War: Dark Crusade
Armies of Exigo
Battle for Middle Earth
Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge
Dragonshard
Possibly members of the Age-Of series.
