5punk COD4 server

Good Morning,

we had a very enjoyable game on you're COD4 server last night (KBD Clan), but was just wondering why we got banned........ surely it wasn't because we were beating you? just wondered... that makes you look like bad losers and we wouldnt want that would we...

.....shame as seems like a nice server to play on.........

Our server admin (who will likely be along shortly) has a tendency to get a little edgy when an entire clan descends upon our servers like last night.

As Grimmie said, thanks for posting.

I can't say personally what a mass ban could have been for, but I'm sure Berk will explain himself. By asking here in a reasonable manner you at least deserve a reasonable response, and I'd hate to think we'd become one of those groups of people who steadfastly refuse to hold dialogue when there's a disagreement.

hi lads.... and its not very often we find a server that seems like theres no glitching/cheating/hacking etc going on...... we've been playing for a few years now and think we're easy going...... we play COD4, COD5, L4D and occasionally counter strike, so will speak to the rest to see if we can play on you're server again(depending on ban being lifted!!)

Was a good game last night (I'm honky tonk at the moment by the way).

As for judging us by one person, we're a bit too cat herd for that here.

I got annoyed by your superior tactics because I'm impatient, terrible at staying still and a bad shot but I wouldn't have banned you for your play style.

Our rules need a bit of clarification too.

Server invading clans piss me right off.

We've had some trouble in the past (due to the 5punk nature of playing games once a week) where clans have pretty much taken over our servers, as 5punkers were pretty much done playing, I banned you to save me fucking around.

Sorry for not explaining myself, I was drunk.

I'll unban you once I can find the button.

We've had problems (and even bans from the server) when it comes to just ourselves, we just get a bit edgy when we're playing cod4

Well I don't want to second guess Berk as to his motives, but for my part I was quite enjoying our little KBD Vs 5punk match on Ambush. Apart from being thrashed by snipers, but that's just because I'm crap.

Since you seem nice chaps though, and assuming you come back on a tuesday, the following things will likely get the following reactions:

Using the grenade launcher - nothing
Using the grenade launcher excessively - probably annoy people, unless you're crap with it
Bunnyhopping - people will think you're one of those 'omg l33t' types
Bunnyhopping excessively - will almost certainly annoy people
Smacktalking - causes relentless pisstaking, although between friends all's fair and in good humour
Using martyrdom/last stand - we fucking love it (hence my name Marty Love). Actually, we just don't mind if people use them or not.
Complaining about people using martyrdom/last stand - will promp something on the lines of 'don't like it? Change server'.
Repeatedly complaining about martyrdom/last stand - people will think you're a tard, take the piss, and then kick you
Complaining about hax - depends if they're hacking. If it's one of us it'll lead to some derision, since a) we don't like 'em, and b) we're shit.
Constantly complaining about hax - see martyrdom
Camping - probably go unnoticed unless you're really effective. Either someone (like me, I love hunting campers) will find you and stick a knife up your jacksy, or someone will point out that you're a dirty smelly camper.
Sniper whoring - see camping

From what I saw last night, only the last two come close to applying (although I didn't play until the end), and I wouldn't really have said any of you were camping really. Sniper rifles seem to have featured regularly on my killcam, but I personally didn't have any real issue with that.

EDIT: Bah, Berk ninja'd in there. I forgot that one - being used as a clan's personal target practice. Just playing along, no problem. Weighting the sides so it's clan vs everyone else, frowned upon. However, last night I rather enjoyed it and since you chaps have said hello here personally I don't have a problem. In fact I like the variety. We've had problems before, though, with clans invading the server, and using their strength of numbers to kick us all off our own server. Which means we have to wake the Berk up, and that makes him grumpy.

To add on to Pantsu's list:

Grenade launching bunny hopping isn't cricket. That will earn you a ban if you keep doing it after you get asked to stop. It's a horrible combination of the most annoying parts of CoD4 and very unsportsmanlike.

Well yeah, I suppose that's worth specifying.

That actually looks like quite a long list now I re-read it, but it just boils down to playing like a normal person. I've been and had a look around the KBD site and you look to have the same motives for playing as we do - have a bit of fun shooting each other. So as far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier!

As Pete said, we've a game on tuesday nights. Every now and then we'll drag out COD:UO or something too, and we have CS:S games fairly often too.

I thought I would drop in and put my pennies worth...

It was a bloody miracle that you actually caught 5 of us on at once really, we arent a clan that practices every Sunday Night or anything like that, we just play for the fun (apart from El-Nino who has a Kill/Death Ratio Fetish).

I was the person that typed up about Server Raiding so maybe I fuelled your drunken Kick/Ban finger into action.

We do actually rent a server but as we get bored with the games after a while we rarely go on the thing these days due to we get fed up shooting each other.

As for your server rules:
We are shit snipers
We HATE MARTYDOM, HATE MARTYDOM, HATE MARTYDOM, HATE MARTYDOM, HATE MARTYDOM, HATE MARTYDOM (saves typing it on the server and getting banned)
We hate Nube Tubes
We hate Claymores
We hate P90 Puffs

apart from El-Nino who loves all of the above :-)

So maybe we will come back on Tuesday and we can have a good game. I joined at the end of Ambush, Showdown we were all on the one side, but the other map we were on both sides, but thanks for been so civil about it, its not nice getting kicked for no reason

w00t new peeps!! Looking forward to having a game with you all, I will be easy to spot as I am the one normally lying in a pool of his own blood and faeces (though that is normally caused by excess alcohol consumption rather than being shot in game)
