Merger: TDOE

Post by friznit »

Chaps,

Those of you who hang out in W9 will know Dark Order Enterprises (Dolly Parton, Quinntarn and friends). They're a good bunch and friendly. They also have very similar goals to us: mining, ratting, T1 production and they too dream of a carrier one day. They have a freighter for use in 0.0 (pilot is Trademaster) and some of them share a house together in RL which can be disconcerting cos they occasionally *cough* share accounts.

As it stands, they have 19 members of which 7 are active, 5 or so are alts and the remainder I believe are inactive for one reason or another. Also worth noting that their original CEO and Founder, Draconis Fever, gave up Eve and sold his 2 year old account(s) to a new player. So if you see him, he's rich, has tonnes of SP's but doesn't have a very good idea how to use them ;)

They've had a spell of bad luck recently as their POS in W9 went offline and got shot up by AAA. They've lost most of their ships, minerals a few other bits. However, they have a small POS in GMLH for ice mining, and a number of Mackinaw pilots stationed there. They are predominantly industrial characters, but with a side order of PvP.

Given their current situation, I would like to offer them the opportunity to merge into 5punkorp. This will bring us an influx of players and some fresh ideas. Being a merger, it will mean a shake up in our roles tho. Fea will remain CEO, and me as the Vice CEO. We'd have 2 directorsfrom each of the 'old' corps - unless anyone felt strongly otherwise, that'd be Dolly, Quin, Wiggy and Fab. Otherwise nothing much would change. 5punkorp is much more relaxed than TDOE anyway and I don't see there being any major issues. It's up to vote and discussion. I'm expecting at least 15 votes before we agree. But I really feel this is a good idea.

Over to you

Friz

I vote "Yay"

There is no real downside to this, we are not losing anything. At the end of the day we do want grow and what better way than to merge with people who seem ok to date.

It would be a different storey is we were merging to be under Dolly's control (not that I think Dolly would be shit or anything, just becuase I don't know him all that much).

There might be room to take the pressure of the POS chain running here also, some members may be very happy and able to help fuel and haul. Tho aslong as they use a scout this time ;)

Having more people in the 0.0 w9 area to gang up with is always good.

More Peeps=good! Not to mention their having a freighter for 0.0 already!

Is there any rise for concern over Fw4ppers role then? I don't see any, but I'm more of an optimist than anything, so don't always see things that others do.

Also a note on Fw4ppers - a few TDOE members are empire only types. I'm sure they'd want to join our Empire Ops corp :)

I think it's an ok idea. I've ratted with Dolly a few times before, and they seem to be on more durring my play time too! So more people to talk to is alwasy good. I'm getting bored logging in after everyone goes to bed and looking at an untalkative Morbidmonk.

Yep, sounds like a good idea. They seem like good people from the times I've talked to them in W9. Also, having more members could help us on our way to joining a better alliance, I like the idea of joining Axiom :likesitall:

Well i know i havent put alot of input to are corp as RL a pain in the arse! and not long been in the corp. I would think this could turn really well. More industrial players would be great and if there great on pvp then even better and have a chance to show were a good corp to iss even tho u guys are!

Also the South turned into a mess and i think more experienced player would help us alot. With another Freighter pilot tho i feel that it be much better for us! As again i hardly on because of work! Also there a better chance to move more goods and do contracts to move gear etc! i hoping in a month time Pete with have a freighter too Caldari tho but least u have 3 pilots then :P

I say yes as i think it will work wonders! :)

It was mentioned a while ago in x-5punkers with me, Friz and eRabbit I think. I mainly like the freedom they bring and their NBSI policy :) Also, if we joined them we could move back into our original system which gets triple 1.7mil bs spawns :boogie:

Code: Select all

they're so big and soft and round
And they don't make a sound
And they'll go down great in history
I've a lump inside my pockets
Just thinkin' of Dolly's rockets
Well here it comes again this fantasy
Erm, why don't they just join 5punk.co.uk, then they'd just be 5punkers anyway. Roles and such have always been up to the CEO, etc anyway and I don't think that bothers anyone.

Aye, I think it was brought on by some ISS cock up or other so we were having a bitch, and I didn't realise Axiom had the same requirements as ASCN. Anyway, we're straying :shakefist:

Why not - I've talked to 2 or 3 in local during my short trips to W9, and they seem like quite a decent bunch and the opportunity to convert others to teh way of teh 5punk is an opportunity surely not to be missed.

I'm assuming the 5punkorp name will be retained.

Yes it will. 5punk is a whole community, not just a corp in Eve. It'd be a shame to lose that link. However, we may have to name our cap ships The Dark Order of 5punk
