Dark Messiah pre-purchase

Post by spoodie »

I noticed that the game is available for pre-purchase on Steam. The demo was pretty good I think, I suggest you play it if you havent already.

I reckon I'll be spending my money on it soon.

Not sure. The demo ran pretty poorly on my machine. Like Oblivion pre-patch and with long grass turned on but no tweaks poor.

Loos pretty good, very much like Oblivion. PCG gave it 88%, but I've not read the review yet. The zombies look good, so that's a plus.

The demo failed to get me excited. It was ok, but a bit too much like oblivion with (for me) the good bits taken out. Then, just as I was at the peak of my lack of excitement, it crashed hard enough for me to need to reboot.

I might sweep it. If i get bored.

Well if PCG gave it 88% I think I'll buy it now.

I'm hoping it's going to be less complicated and free-roaming than Oblivion. I prefer my games a little more linear and straight-forward.

EDIT

As it uses Steam you may not be able to, or it will be tricky at least.

I've prepurchased and it's downloading now, it's out on Friday in the UK.

My Steam seems to be a bit, erm...full.

I have bought this game over steam because I needed a new game and was more pleased with it than when I played the demo originally.

It's a bit of a monster:

8.66G with the mutliplayer, I might have to actually delete something for once...

Edit: that 800 odd meg wasn't enough, so AA and UT had to go before it would load up
