Last.FM profiles added to 5punk (Better late than never)

Post by Woo Elephant Yeah »

You can now add your last.fm profiles to 5punk, as requested many many moons ago.
I've finally been finding some spare time again here at work, so hence why this has been done.

Other suggestions have been for Skype, so please let me know if you would find this useful, and if you have any other ideas for buttons then let me know.

FYI : I'm working on creation of one page containing every Urban Dead, Xbox, B3ta, Last.fm & Xfire account all on one page.
The other thing I'm working on is soemthing I also started a long time agao, and that's a new web design for the site, that has lots of dynamic content.
Hopefully with a bit more free time and some extra unthusiasm, I might get stuff finished.
Oh yeah, the ADR mod will be going live at the end of the month, providing it installs okay, and all the bugs/exploits we found have been fixed.

Skype Buttons

Post by Woo Elephant Yeah »

Okay, seeing as I know nothing about Skype, would a straighforward Skype profile link button be enough, or do you want a full blown Skype mod allowing you all to talk/text each other with the click of a button.

Obviously just adding a profile image, and a + image to allow adding to your contacts is going to be easier, but I don't want to install a "proper mod" unless you feel you would all use it?

P.S. For a demo of the kind of extra functionality I mean, look at the following page, and click on the greyed out skype button under the icq one.

I've forgotten what I need to do to get my recently played tracks to appear on there. Anyone?

You'll also need to check to see if the plugin is turned on regularly :\

So has anyone who actually uses Skype have any thoughts on this?
Like I said I'm tempted to just have the button linking to a profile, but please let me know if you think the extras are worth it.

I have use the text chat bit, just a link to the profile would be enough for my needs, but then I only installed it on Friday.

yeah, like you say, a link to profiles plus a + for adding people to your contacts would be fine. Anything approaching heavy moding beyond that is probably more work than is worth it.

I've now installed Skype and found my account. But I'm not sure what the point of it is now, what with every IM having voice support, is it better in Skype?
