Armed Assault 2 (Arma 2) vs Operation Flashpoint 2

Quick background summary for those who don't know:
Operation Flashpoint was an open ended military simulation written by Bohemia Interactive (BIS) and published by Codemasters.
BIS went on to write Armed Assault (ArmA), based largely on their Virtual Battlefield System (VBS), which they also flogged to the USMC amongst others.
Codemaster retained the copyrights for the Operation Flashpoint name, and are releasing Op Flashpoint 2 this year, based on the same open ended military sim, lots of toys etc.
BIS are also releasing a sequel, ArmA 2.
They are both coming out for console and PC.
I was a Flashpoint nut in it's day, and played ArmA a fair amount as well. There were several things lacking from both, not to mention the 'polish' one would expect from a modern FPS, however much of a sim it may be.
It remains to be seen if BIS can come up with a good enough game to entice people away from Codemaster's effort which will undoubtedly be shinier, if not quite as 'hardcore'. I expect the Sim Nuts will plump for ArmA 2 and scream blue geeky murder at the Op Flash 2 crowd, whilst secretly admitting that it's actually more fun to play.
