I've just finished chapter 10. Mainly because I forced myself to read at least that far before judging it. It's like a ten-year-old boy reading Pride and Prejudice at school got bored and started writing little bits in the margins about warrior training and knives. Rather than adding scenes seamlessly, he just sort of tacks statements about 'training in the deadly arts' (christ, if it was a film you'd make a drinking game about that phrase) onto the end of sentences.
