I will be watching.
I fear I may be watching through my fingers, clamped across my face, but I will be watching none-the-less.

Pretty much.

Still, it'll end up on the floor within seconds. :)

I am so excited about this it's untrue. I know it went out with a whimper more than a bang, but nevertheless, woo and yay!

Limp cliffhanger suggests it was imagined as a feature-length episode. I guess you work with what you're given. The BBC were clearly not going to touch it.
I got a couple of laughs out of it though. It could have been much, much worse.

Agreed.

CGI skutters is bad, but I can understand for budget and time.

Oddly, I think the lack off the naff sets takes away from it as they always seemed somewhat more real.

Well, they explained Holly's absence in typical Red Dwarf fashion, did I miss something about Kochanski at the end of the last series though? As that seemed a bit "whut?".

Definitely a setup episode though, hopefully the next two will be better.

I thought it was a good as could be expected. I enjoyed it and had a few laughs. At least it wasn't offensively bad.

Hmmmm. Not as good as the older ones.

I think the actors perform better in front of a live audience, it felt wooden almost without the studio-audience-ness and the laughter track.

i cant say i wasnt dissapointed.
The plot seemed overly simple/missing bits, and the acting seemed forced and not as enthusiastic.
I agree with the lack of studio audience didnt help, and i think they were relying too much on the cgi stuff to bring it to life.

Not sure exactly what i was expecting, but i think it was more than that. Will see what they turn out next time.
