imdb wrote:Ignacio is a monk who aspires to be a professional wrestler (luchador = fighter in Spanish). This is against the other priests. He wrestles under the name "Nacho" for the children to help pay for their needs in hiding. The movie is what happens when he does this.
Apparently.
The only thing that looks good about it is Jack Black - and so shuold be funny.
Edit: OK the reviews look good - it's the poster cover that puts me off.
*Fear begins sweeping...

I can add to that (and was doing before we had a power cut
).
The 70s Mexico setting is ace - lots of funny characters wearing rediculous clothes. I can't quite place what it is, but the extras really make the film. They're all so anti-hollywood. And Nacho's sidekick steals the show for me.

a film just came out on dvd called the ringer, stars johnny knoxville as a man who tries to win the special olympics, despite being quite sane. its full of jokes about the mentaly retarded, so i can see it apealing to most 5punkers. suprisingly funny, in a genuine funny way, not a 'hahaha! that dude pissed himself!' way

I saw NO humor in Nacho Libre. Well, other than when he was driving away on the motorbike and flew off the side of the hill...
Snakes on a Plane? Did you also like Formula 51?

Yeah I saw Snakes on a Plane today. It was very funny, but like I kept saying, its not a great film. Purely because its not trying to be serious in any way, its almost a parody. Very enjoyable but definitely not to be taken seriously.
