5punk Bash

Post by Grimmie »

Not so much a LAN Party, sure. But we'd be socially-networking at a local scale. In uh.. An area.

Joose and I had a natter.
Thing about LAN Parties is that you have to lug your PC half way across the country, and then you sit in a room full of nice people, and dont talk to them all night. An idea taken from the unmentionable b3ta would be to have a 5punk bash.

A meeting of consenting adults at a drinking establishment for a right royal booze up, hijinks, and general tomfoolery. I had Rileys in mind. Not too far from a number of train stations, and a short taxi ride from most of them. Private parking and such. Possibly in september when my parents will vacate the house an allow for a moderate number of 5punkers to use our floor as a bed. Depending on the number of sore heads the next day, we could also have a little jaunt off to the Cadbury's Chocolate Factory in Bourneville, pay for a party ticket all in one and be adorned with many free chocolates.

How does that sound to you, opinions?
"YAY!" for a "Yes I'm interested",
"NAY!" for a "That sounds right shit" and,
"WERD!" for "Dejects Mother"

Ah, not so unmentionable I suppose.
We've had a few calls of disambiguation from people who dont like the naziism though.
I know you're a big fan of the bashes, so hopefully you can give us some pointers along the way?

Fuck the Nazis, I've decided I'm going to re-integrate myself into B3ta. Now I just need hummus.

Also, I had to vote werd because after my initial :excited: I realised I'll be in Spain at the end of september, meaning all money will be channelled that way. Otherwise it'd have been a resounding 'fuck yeah' (assuming you didn't live stupidly far away).

EDIT: Profile says Brum, which is well within range. Bah.

I'm definitely up for it, and I know where Bourneville is, my head office is located inn Cadbury's car park.

There's a nice pub round the corner from the place that does food as well, to help wash down all the chocolate

Only problem is I'm on holiday in Majorca the first 2 weeks of September, and I still don't have a house move date.

Until I know when I'm moving, I can't say I'll be there, but I definitely will be coming if I can make it (which looks unlikely  )

I've voted fuck yer, but I'll have to actually see if I'm in birmingham too then, since the army may have packed me off to parts unknown then.

be a bit silly to miss it though, given that I live in Birmingham. And why not the Flapper and Ferkin? Top beer there

What a peculiar coincidence. So will I.

I voted
werd
as I can't get to the midlands, and I'm not dragging my family up there just so I can have a beer with some reprobates, sorry.

I'll raise a glass in your direction and shout :ahoy: for you.

I too have voted WERD.

I have no monies at all, and this is getting worse by the day. Any "spare" money I get is going into my savings for going travelling, so basically if it isn't food, rent or bills, I'm not spending on it!

I'd fricking love to, but the reasons agaisnt are threefold.
1. Birmingham is a bitch of a travel (3hrs alla train at £30 is hassle)
2. I'm working nearly every saturday in September
3. I don't want to be the young'un.

i think this thing could be very awesome, and i'd be up for it.
however, im not sure how many people can get there?
if anyone is on route from me i could give them a lift.
as long as i can make it when the dates are sorted...
