One of the surprise hits of E3 2006, Dark Messiah is a brutal first-person action game set in a fantasy world
Dark Messiah is a brutal game of hack-and-slash first-person combat. Featuring impressive context-sensitive moves and animations, viscerally satisfying hand-to-hand combat, and an open-ended approach to murdering orcs and goblins
the multiplayer will be going for something like a cross between Battlefield and Lord of the Rings, in terms of its style and scope

Doesn't sound such a bad thing. Elves (heh), Zombies, Skeletons, Flaming Goatse Portals and gorgeously-rendered Dead Rats In Caves. More of this sort of thing.
Had a look through the screenshots and it looks rather good, will give the demo a try.

Have just watched many trailers for it. OMG it looks awesome, as a wizard when you use a fire spell your fingers glow like embers. This game looks ace plus its an online mp so it maye be firm fave with us too.
Hmm... Well the graphics are very nice but there seems to be one huge problem. You're supposed to be able to kill your enemy stealthily and use the environment to your advantage, but its kind of impossible when the enemy notices you instantly when you get within a certain distance...
Maybe I'm just doing something wrong, anyone else found this?
there's supposed to be a "Stealth Bar" at the bottom of the screen but I didnt see mine do anything...maybe its just not in the demo...I did notice if I stayed in the darkest shadows...they didnt see me till i shot at em
maybe restart and put all your skill points into stealth...

Hehe, I completely overlooked the stealth skills It was way better second time through with the right skills.
I think the stealth bar is the circle around your crosshair, when its full you're at your most stealthiest.
That is pretty good, looks nice and runs smoothly at quite high settings on my machine. There's obviously a lot of potential for different playing styles depending on your preference. Although anything with goblins and whatnot does leave me cold after a while, now if it just had some lasers and robots as well ...

Fantasy *and* sci-fi? Sounds like shadowrun. Now, A shadowrun MMO, that would be very win indeed.
