It's been down for at least 5 hours. Relax. Hopefully their installing some new lag free servers. It was truely aweful this morning.

Atorian has been taking up too much CPU usage on the server, David has been talking to them for the last week about it. Episode 4 won't have this problem as everything is/has been re-written from scratch and created more smartly.

I just hope the server ppl haven't gotten fed up and switched Atorian off

Lately Atorian has been unaccessible as you will have noticed. This is due to the server cpu usage being too high. David has been talking to the "server ppl" over the last week now trying to come to a solution. Hello everyone,

I would like to start off by apologising to everyone for the recent downtime and lag that Atorian has been suffering.

I will try to explain the current situation as it stands. Atorian is based on a server that is shared with other sites, the reason we share with other sites is because its cheaper than having a server of our own. Recently Atorians CPU usage has been around the 60% mark, because we are on shared server we are only allowed 10%, due to the high CPU usage Atorian has been down and its been bringing the other sites on the server down with it. This has forced the hosting company to give me two options, either upgrade to a dedicated server or leave. To ensure Atorian stays online I have had to close the game section of the website, this reduces the CPU usage considerably.

At this point in time I am now searching for a new host and looking to purchase a dedicated server, the current hosting companies offer is very expensive and I just can not afford it. I have already found two potential hosts however trying to get more information about their servers is like getting blood out of a stone. Atorian will not start running again until I find a new host, I am looking to get us back up and running as soon as possible so please be patient.

If anyone would like to help me out with finances I would really appreciate it, I am not asking for donations but instead looking for sponsors, if you feel like you could help then click here to find out more.

On Thursday the 17th at 18:30 server time Atorians Episode 3 Part 3 will end.

Atorians game section will then stay closed until the testing version of the next episode is released. The release date will be announced within the next few days.

Atorians will be running slow during the final days of Episode 3 Part 3 and may even go offline at times, if this happens keep rechecking the site every hour, there is very little we can do about this.
