COunter Strike - only source here?

do people here only play source? I hope to get it shortly (a month or two) but in the mean time can only play 1.6. If anyone wants to play 1.6 let me know.

i accidentally loaded that instead of CSS the other day. I actually had some fun, but it did remind me how shit it is compared to sauce.
Dispite what the oldschool peeps say...

CS 1.6 is old and ugly. Most of the people who still play it are the hardcore players and clan losers. We like to have fun. CS:S lets us have more fun.

I used to play Condition Zero or whatever before I had Source. I didn't really care for it that much. I tried 1.6 a week or so ago and also didn't care for it. Ugly and a steep learning curve = not as fun (for me at least, I'm sure the more competitive of CS players will disagree and probably shout NOOB FAGGORT at me for playing Source, but whatever).

I played a lot of CS pre-source, although I'd actually gotten rather tired of it by 1.6. CZ gave a few maps a bit of a facelift but that didn't last long, either.

I remember that when 1.6 came out, a lot of the old school players really hated it - some things never change.

My play style has adapted quite well to Source, and I was surprised how well it ran on my PC, which isn't the best.
