Jackson signed on to the movie only because it's named Snakes on a Plane, and threatened to quit when they tried to change the name.

I shake my head and give a wry smile whenever I hear people mention this film. Initially I thought the internet buzz about this film was "ironic" - ie it got mentioned all the time just because it was going to be so obviously shit. Then I heard that people were seriously going to see it!
I think lots of people have lost their objectivity. It's like with Davis Hasslehoff - he isn't fucking cool goddammit! What starts off as "ironic" soon has people blindly following it.
SOAP (or SOAMFP) will be shit. It really is that simple.

At first I lol'd at Snakes on a Plane, what with Jackson only doing it because of the stupid name. I knew it'd be bad but I thought it'd be so bad it's funny. It's getting far too much attention and hype from teh interwebs though. I won't go to see it, but I might download it just for a laugh.

is The Silent horse. It really is special, and only £5 on a double film feature dvd from co-op. I really recommend it
