Right, just to gauge the interest for a 5punk BF2 ranked server.

Currently the aim is 10 people paying ~ £30 total for 6 month service. (however, this is flexible, more people = bigger server or lest cost, but £30 is a reasonable figure to start at)

Everyone who chips in will get admin stuff, rights to kick to make space on server etc.

Please only reply to say if you're interested at the current price (£30 - single payment up front)

In principle I'd love to, but in practice I don't have 30 notes spare at the moment. This may change in a week or two, and going on our previous standards nothing will happen before then, so I shall reassesseeseess the situation once I've moved house and jobs. Could one chip in at a later date if the server was already up?

5punkybeef would be ace, as would a decent map rotation and some reserved slots.

it'd have to be a *very* limited number of people though, i wasn't planning on moving into the loan business until next year.

I am in, as mentioned in the other thread. I believe SF is a seperate license, though.

i think you're correct. SF would be way down on the list anyway, because only a couple of us have it.

I'll be a tentative yes.

If we have our own server do you think it would be like the Lanarchy one that is always full? (A good thing because more players is.. good) or like the Bukkake CS and COD servers that mostly just have us lot?

That's fine for COD and CS as there are enough of us to make the games playable, BEEF with.. let's be optimistic and say... 12ish players, 6 per team would not be great for BEEF.

with beef, once a game starts, the server will be full all night. (currently lanarchy is empty, if the beef game goes there, it'll be busy within a map or so)

It's just the way it happens and with beef, there's not gonna be a load issue like with bukkake sometimes.

I only get to play Beef for about 2 hours once a week at the moment, so I don't think I'll be paying. Plus dreamhosts cheap first years hosting is about to run out at the end of the month, and I have to start paying "real monies" to run 5punk.

If I was playing several times a week, I would definitely pay, but for me it's not really sensible what with the move and lack of internet coming up soon.
