Post by Lee »

Is anyone else watching this? I'd forgot about it until I came accross a post on the eve-o forums.

You can watch it here: 69.1.86.10/wcix0

And heres the match list: http://myeve.eve-online.com/events/alli ... atches.asp

ISS has a match later on vs SA at 16:20 eve time :)

BoB vs -V- starting now.... and BoB take the victory. It seems whoever has the most logistics drones wins.

We lost our match :(

We put up a good fight though, we lost everything but our nightmare and nighthawk and then managed to take out their recon ship and interdictor.

Our nightmare popped not long after but Quadix in the nighthawk put up a really good fight, he tanked for ages and almost got their ishkur until their sleipnir put heavy shield repper drones on it. After a while Quadix ran out of cap and went pop.

I reckon he might have done it if he focused on the sleipnir first so it couldnt shield rep the ishkur then take out the ishkur and focus on the navy raven but nvm, it was a good fight.

3 more fights in the group - we're not out yet. For some reason the (rather stupid it has to be said) commentators seem to suffer from the not uncommon perception that ISS is stupidly rich. Does noone understand the concept of 'public ownership'?

I say all power to quadix for tanking like that for so long, but narf it was all over when the nightmare went down, and it was looking dodgy from the off.

We never seemed to focus fire, it took way to long to swap targets when those 15 shield transfer drones made the flycatcher all but invulnerable, and generally it seemed like a fleet of old. No use of more modern toys that would have made a huge difference (as the SA flycatcher proved), and a bad choce for AF and BS. We were somewhat doomed from the off.

Happier with our performance today. Good choice of a BS, just a pitty about the tank, uber tanked command ship again, and some nice support ships. If we'd had some support drones in there, could have made a huge difference.

Yeah we fought a bit better today, I'm not sure why exactly we arent using support drones, surely they must've noticed that they're why the other teams are winning.

That match was rather embarassing for Pure alliance, only one person showed up in an Ishkur against a CNR, sleipnir, curse, flycatcher and crow from the five :)

Woo! That was the best fight I've seen of this tournament!

Ushra Khan called our fly catcher as primary but we managed to get a load of shield maintenance drones on it which helped it live long enough to take out their Sabre. We then focused on their Jaguar but their logistics ship was keeping it alive so we focused on that and took it down. Our Flycatcher popped soon after but then we took down their Jaguar and our Zealot managed to tank long enough with the help of armour repper drones for our remaining four ships to take down their Sleipnir and Raven :)

Edit: changed to Wolf to Jaguar :P

Fascinating. Meanwhile Est were running rampant in Consido with their Nyx while ISS and Ushra were all watching the tourny. It was all a bit embarrasing really, apart from Reg Keeper going nuts in the Prov channel (that was funny as hell) but there was nothing 5punkorp could do to help  Ah well, back to the hauling.

Didn't we kill their Nyx? I know there was some alliance spam about it...

Nah, it was just some one not reading the kill mail properly. I think the kill mail was of their Nyx killing an Ibis

Matches so far that I've seen today:

BoB VS someone - Bob won with a whitewash. Took em ages though.
ISS VS Chorus of Dawn - We won :boogie: White wash too, and we did it in only a few minutes. Commentors were extremly impressed, and so was I.

MC VS SA - MC are cleaning the floor with SA. SA are down to a BS and an AF, MC have lost the dictor. MC ftw imho
