Battle of the WaterfallNews for 8 Dec 2008
- -With natives seeing images of the skygods dancing in the shimmering foam, and outsiders claiming the waterfall’s torrent could fuel a daguerreotype plate photographic machine, the waterfall has become a venue for the latest real-time battle on Saturday 13 December 2008. The battle starts at GMT midnight.
-There is a prize of 5000 gold coins - collectable from the event sponsor, Port Breton Casino Royale - to the person who kills the most other participants within the hour in the waterfall or its immediate surrounds, as well as naming rights to the waterfall (one outcome of the last real-time battle was the naming of Archer’s Pool near the shipwreck, after Archer, who killed three other characters in the battle).
-There is an armistice for two days before the battle so that, in the spirit of OOC good sportsmanship, those who want to participate can do so - the more players involved the merrier. Besides, you can resolve any grudges in the battle - real time is the best place for it.
