This makes me sad, as it's a great game, but I imagine most people will never bother with it on the PC now.

Unusual for RS to do this, they're normally very good with their pc releases.

I wonder what happened internally.

I'm with Lat. After SA I wasn't that interested to start with, and since all the DRM/bloatware crap I'm even less interested, and by the time they've fixed the game I'll be not very interested at all. With my limited gaming time (Warcraft doesn't count, I can play that while looking after Sprog) I doubt even a mass of 5punky interest could persuade me to play it.

I'm glad I read that news dobber on the bloatware. Was a bit mixed over this.

"Valve meanwhile is reported to have broken from it's usual refund policy and has started issuing refunds for the game to those who demand it."

That says it all, a third party distro giving refunds at their expense, it's fucking fail.

I must admit I'm getting very Daily Mail about DRM these days.

Honestly, I have yet to sweep any game; if I like the look of it, I will pay for it yet, it seems increasingly pointless. The shitty DRM (I'm looking at FM 09 here, for example) is driving me away and, for the most part, this seems to be a common feeling amongst most legit gamers I see on forums.

It seems insane that I can buy a copy of FM 09 and have to wait 3 days to get it "Authenticated" online when I could have downloaded it on 0-day and played without any issues.

I am *really* struggling to understand the reasoning here.
