So, I'm getting a wee bit bored with Minmatar...

And I'm thinking training the ships of another race might be the way to go. Kinda set against Caldari since they do seem to be the Iwin button for NPCing and mission running atm and it'd mean having to train up all my missile skills to nice levels. Amarr doesn't quite appeal just because I think being a proud warrior of the minmatar I shouldn't even be thinking about those ships, but gallente seems to have a bit of trouble running very stable tanks for long periods of time (baring the nosdomi, but that's cooky cutter too, and I can't imagine it being much fun).

But the depressingly low DPS of minmatar stuff (baring a few things like AC vagas) just seems to take forever to kill things, and when those things happen to be lv4 missions, or high value NPC spawns, my usual justification of it'll die eventually doesn't quite work, as I'll die eventually too.

I'd happily train jove, but CCP won't give me teh skills for em, so I'm stuffed there.

So, I need persudading one way or the other for something.

AMARR!
Although flying our ships wont make you sexy ;)

Also you could go for what you would need for a factional ship on the offchance that you got you mitts on one :)

Now I'm not saying Caldari just because that's what I fly. But to lend weight to your argument, we are quite well set up for Caldari ship and such since so many of us fly them. In time we might even get ourselves a Raven bpo ....

Although I havent flown any other races (exept upto caldari cruisers on my old char if that counts) but I'd say go for Gallente. Blaster ships are extremely fun to fly and do huge DPS.

The tanking isnt too bad although the Dominix is the only Gallente ship you'd be able to fit a sustainable dual rep tank for lvl 4s. Dual reppers on a Megathron or Brutix along with cap boosters though is win for pvp :)

Not to mention the flexibility that comes with drone skills! Drone bonuses on the Gallente are ftw! Not to mention that in the repeatedly mentioned Domi you can't ignore the drone bay....

And blasters are awesome for pounding the ammo into the baddies!

And we are getting more Gallente pilots... :)

Odd that you should say that, as the blood raider ships do look quite tempting, and with amarr and minmatar ship skills I could fly em. still not sure though. caldari is tempting for the new battleship their getting, but a blasterthron would be ebil...

Instead of a new race...how about we start teaming on the LvL 4 mishs? Even with my measly 2.3mil SP (1/2 in learning) I'm able to solo some of the mishs (4 so far) but takes me forever to finish them due to repeated warpouts. I'd rather have 3 peeps doing them quick and alternate agents. Atleast 3 of us (M, Friz and Fab) have the Tidacha LvL4 Agent. Ki's a few jumps away. Not sure where u are Hulk, but I think it was close. We could pounce thru Lee's LvL 2/3's to get him up to LvL 4. Shodo has LvL 4. Dres has LvL 3. Not sure about the rest. (Can turn it into a mining op if we get bored)

LvL4 Mishs and DSC's are good times even with Fab's music in the background :P Team Ravaging is why I play MMOG's.

I don't know how it is to have 9mil SP but I'd think there's still more Minmatar Ships/skills to concentrate on ?

12.5 mil, and I actually am running out of minmatar related stuff to train. Command ships, T2 BS guns and horse recons is about all that's left that interests me. This is down 6 months ago to flying BCs proficiently, flying HACs, flying AFs, flying BSs proficiently, having T2 small/medium guns, T2 this, that and the other, etc etc.

It's tempting sorta to spend 6 months doing carrier/dreadnought skills. but with the severe role limitations on those I can't really see a point.
