Oh, your face just then. It was all like WTF ZOMG NO WAY!!!!!! Like, rilly.

Sorry, but this isn't a reveal of the rumoured official prequel to the gamette that stole our hearts and minds around about this time last year. Instead it's a mod, but considering pretty much every other Portal mod has been little more than a level pack, this is a particularly ambitious one.

Specifically, it has a storyline. It even has NPCs that aren't cubes or turrets.

Very interesting. Good video too.

I've been investigating the custom maps at http://myaperturelabs.com. Some are rather good.

I have a problem with user-created Portal content, as if I can't do it, I assume it's broken and not me being thick.

There was one released through PCG not long after release and it was very fussy about you hitting your marks, so I gave up in frustration over that rather than the puzzle solution.

Best thing linkin park have done and it's still mediocre imo.

The video was a waste of time, didn't show anything at all really. I like the idea of more portal, but I'll not play this because portal had its time and its way with me and that has passed.

No, it really was Linkin Park, the track Session off Meteora.

Not a bad video, like the prospect of people being there.

The chord progression did remind me of a mashed up remix of "In the end".

The people seem to be more behind the glass than in the game, but it's still more life than seen in the original facility. Bit like the test chamber in HL1, though I was always itching to get behind the scenes and display my "skills" to those bossy overseer Walters.

I don't have sound at work...but that video was just a reverse play thru of the original portal and 2 seconds of new stuff?

I didn't see any of the original Portal in that*, but I'll have another watch. It's a map pack though, so it'll be using the Portal assets. It's going to look like Portal.

edit: *although it's supposed to be set before Portal, so I suppose it could use places we've seen in new ways.

Er, no.

The worst is all the other songs they've ever done. Bland nu-metal with shit lyrics, the fuck you attitude they have despite being faggots. I wouldn't expect you to understand because you're a teenager, you like the drivel they make because it helps release all that 'emotion' you have.

See also - papa roach/my chemical romance/fallout boy/staind/taproot/mudvayne/drowning pool/nonpoint/P.O.D/otep and so on.

All angsty weak voiced shite with some lazy drop-d guitar tuning with 7 strings for people who need at most four, and to cap it all some decks randomly thrown in, thrown being the most precise term I can think of.

Still, as long as you decide that destroying your depth perception with unnecessary lengths of fringe or that wearing the black jeans that hang in the young girls sections of clothes stores isn't big or clever then there's hope.

Plz. :(

I've been working plenty extra hours this week (eight until six on the short days and eight until eight on the long ones) and I think the rage is getting dangerously high. I've decided to book friday off work because I think talking like a pirate would just get me a disciplinary.

Sorry ladies, I'll try and keep the rage down, but I make no promises, the hehulk engendered grammar spazz on the disco this morning had me smacking my head in some sort of apoplectic frenzy. I was called into a private room to have an informal chat with the boss as a result.

I'm going to be greedy and go with all of them except the horse. I'm none too bothered about it really, doesn't have an engine.
