Another Offer From Count

Post by Hehulk »

So, count just been having a word on Vent, and he's got another offer for us:

We can have a large tower to help claim soverginity in ZXIC that we also use for reactions
We can have a small tower for tenerifis to set-up mining Caesium/Cadmium (can't remeber which) and we won't have to pay to put the tower up, but no mining rights there.
We can get the other raw we need from Ushra'Khan
We can get weekly space on the agil freighter run to help fuel our towers. He did also mutter about them getting ready to do freighter runs from other places like Assah.

I've explained that our main problem right now would be fueling the towers, hence the freighter thing, and affording some medium towers is a little beyond the corp wallet so I'll happily pledge 150 mil to help get it running (Vagabond can wait).

Not sure if he just wants another tower there at any price, or if this is genuine help, but I'm tempted to think help. Thoughts?

No, I'm completly wrong on this. Back to the drawing board Realised I've got nothing making the Silcon Diborite

OK, I've been looking over the how to and why fors of running it, and I think it can be done with a large amarr (currently in w9), a medium caldari (has to be caldari, CPU is too low on the other races) that we'll need to buy, a large amarr that we're being given and 1 small towers that we're being given. Also, we're sourcing the Caesium from Ushra'Khan for 1900pu and we need to find a seller of Evaporite Deposits, unles we want to put up another small tower.

There is evaporte deposits on the vanadium moon in w9, but to mine that we'd need a large gallente or caldari tower, and I don't want to propose doing that because: 1) even if we pay generously, that evaporite deposits are going to cost us peanuts, and 2) it's not overly cost effective.

We run the simple reactions in w9 on the caldari tower and an amarr one, and then haul it all down to zxic for reaction there. The advanced reaction and caldari tower are tighter than a nuns clunge, but they fits.

Caldari Medium (Mining Hafnium in W9, Making Vanadium Hafnite):
1 moon miner
3 silos
1 medium reactor array
1 coupling array
1 corp hanger array
Various Guns

Current Large Tower in W9 (Mining Vanadium and Evaporite Deposits, Making Caesarium Cadmide)

Large amarr in ZXIC (Running the Complex Reacton)
1 reactor array
4 silos
1 coupling array
2 corp hanger arrays
Various guns

Small tower in Tenerifis (Mining Cadmium)
1 moon miner
1 coupling array
1 silo
1 corp hanger array
Various guns

I'll look into this when I get back tomorrow. Hulk, I take it your plan means moving our current Large Amarr to the Vanadium moon in W9?

I believe Gallente work, and possibly better than Caldari for this...need to check the numbers though. And I'll crunch the profits.

I think Count is keen to get towers up in ZX from trustworthy corps to prevent a rerun of this week's fiasco.

I have a vested interest since at current reckoning, and freighter runs notwithstanding, I'll be doing a good chunk of the hauling. Ditto, it needs to be fun, not work.

Think I've got it. Basically a slight variation on Fea's plan:

1x Med Gallente (W9) harvesting Hafnium, reacting Vanadium Hafnite.

1x Large Amarr (W9) harvesting Vanadium+Evap Deposits, reacting Silicon Diborite

1x Large Gallente (ZX) harvesting Silicates, reacting Phenolic Composites.

Buy the Caesium Cadmide initially but can expand the chain later if needs be.

We'd have to find a moon in ZX with silicates (pretty common I hope). Future expansion would involve an additional large tower for the second half of the complex reaction, somewhere to put the refining array, and a maybe an additional simple reaction like Hexite in W9.

Net profit approx 1.7bill per month

Just a logistical thought... but what kind of percentage are we using now on the Dreadnaught runs? My thought is that if we can add only one more leg to the journey, we might be able to pull this off without an excessive amount of extra work.

Thoughts:
Pick up fuel at Hoth, jump to W9.
Drop off fuel marked for W9, pick up Vanadium Hafnite and Silicon Diborite, Jump to ZX
Drop Fuel marked for ZX, pick up Phenolic Composites, and jump to Hoth.
Drop everything at Hoth and repeat next week.

That is assuming of course we have the capacity for this in the Dread. Otherwise I don't see a problem, as I'll have increased haulage capacity for fuel to Hoth and then delivering other items to markets. We could even cut people a better deal if they'll provide a certain amount of fuel at the point where we drop the reacted products.

Then on to cost. If the Count is giving us all of the required towers, of course there isn't cost for them, but what about the guns? And could ISS float us a loan to help get this all started? With the current state of affairs, and actually having fuel for 3 weeks at a time, I think we could pull this off without having to dedicate all corp activities to it. It would be more work, but the profits would be astounding by comparison. It would also raise the profile of the corp ALOT, and possibly help recruiting too.

Last thing... Do we have the skills to set up and run all the different races of POS? Just a thought to mix into the stew....

But it is exciting to be at this point, when only months ago keeping one POS running was so much work! It's awesome to see the corp growing so much!
