I got it yesterday, it's pretty damn good, and if you're having trouble finding servers turn all your filters off except "same mod"

How does it actually work? I see they have like 'gates', do you have to drive round through the gates like checkpoints? Is it timed? Do you get medals and such?

I was wondering about setting up a DS of this, as we still have some space on our server....

The info on the site is limited but from playing the game it seems to recognise you passing the checkpoints around the track and prints it up on the top left. I could be wrong. Also there's a ranking system but no medals as far as I can see.
