Spread the word
Well it goes without saying, unless people hear about this site, we're not really gonna have much of a gaming community going on here.
I've only posted 5punk's address once on the main picture forum on b3ta, as I don't want to spam the main board.
It would however, be a very good thing if everyone here, helped to spread the word about this place by either threadjacking relevant threads, or posting the link in your usernames etc... :D
Any help with bringing more people to this place is really welcome, and I've got a feeling, once we have a larger amount of active members, then the site should promote itself through word of mouth on either the b3ta or 4rthur boards.
Thanks to everyone who has registered and shown an interest so far,
WooElephantYeah

That's fantastic stuff Mr Stoat, I am well impressed. :DStoat wrote:http://www.5punk.co.uk/phpbb/linkto.php
Trendy linky buttons await for those that want them.
I'll add that to the main site on Monday, and if everyone could do this, it would really help.

5punk is now search result 37 out of 1,100,000 when googling b3ta
How does it climb up the list?
By people searching for 5punk & b3ta together or what?
Or do Google keep tabs on how their search engine works.
Other search engines seem to place 5punk a lot higher?
I have no clue, but I'm glad it's going up the list, just wondered why

i believe it has something to do with linkage. As in, the more links to you from someone else, the higher up you go in the ranks. So what with all our mass spammage of 5punk in our b3ta profiles, google thinks we are dead popular. Which we are, of course. *preens*
alternately, i could be talking from my poo-hole. Im unsure.

I'm not sure if it'd get in the newsletter, to be honest. There's a lot of people who get the newsletter who have no interest in the b3ta board, so they try and keep things in the newsletter as accessible to those people and avoiding things just specific to b3ta as much as possible.
I know this isn't b3ta, but it seems mainly aimed towardsmembers of the b3ta board.
Also if they link to it themsleves in the newsletter it might seem the "officially" support it or whatever, when they have nothing to do with running.
