Red Orchestra

Post by Sandwich »

Anyone played or looked at Red Orchestra for the steam engine? I saw the trailer for it today and i must say it looks awesome, a bit like bf2 exept with an incredibly gritty atmosphere and maps full of trenches and stuff. I think there is a free version for the UT2k4 engine, anyone want to give it a go?

I'm trying to download the UT version, first attempt failed with corrupt zip file. I wouldn't mind having a go at the saucy edition, the trailer makes it look good.

Now Children

Don't get Steam confused with Source.

The game is being released on steam, but is based on the unreal 2.5 engine*

this game has nothing to do with valve other than the content distribution method.

*Tripwire won commercial rights for the engine by winning the make somthing unreal contest.

Indeed in a moment of spack I got all excited about the original SiN being Steam-delivered, thinking it would be super-improved. It's not, it's the same game and engine I already had. Seven years ago.

However, this no longer holds true, at least, even at resolution=stupid: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/1998/11/18 (their first comic evar)
