:)

my point, in more words.

Generally, nintendo are really good at fun consoles, but often they just don't quite manage to pull the all-round thing off that the other consoles can - especially graphically, they've always been a bit cartoony-biased

not to mention that it seems the revolution will just be a jumped-up gamecube, which was never all that great.

*Shuts the fuck up*

my dad actualy put it in perspective the other day pretty well, just after i started playing oblivion i said to him 'ooo look at the shiney graphics, isnt that great?' he replied 'so you spent all that money buying parts for the pc so you can look at a dead rat in a cave? thats sad that is.'

the moral being, it doesnt realy matter how shiney graphics are, your still just looking at a dead rat in a cave.

See, thats what slightly concerns me about those shots. Nintendo has never really, in the past, sold itself on how shiny its graphics are. Largely due to the fact that compared to its peers, their consoles are not that shiny. They always sell themselves on the fact that they are fun to play, and always go for innovative stuff.

Those shots look like a rather shiney fps. The only real selling point they have, tech-wise, is the controller. Which they seem to be using here as a glorified light gun.

Im not even a nintendo fan, but if this is the direction they are going in with this, I shall still be rather upset.

Long as the price is right i might get myself one. Any news as to what kind of disks they'll be taking? are they going to be using those silly itty bitty disks?

metroid was a good change from the ussual gamecube games

and im hoping for a starwars jedi based game on the revolution and some swordy action with the controller for zelda

but no, other than the controller they havent really got any other selling points other than lots of free old games
