Fallout has always been a PC series, and should be kept that way.

Oblivion worked well enough on the consoles, there's not reason why this can't.

Ooh - now there's a good idea. Getting a train to and from Leeds tomorrow, so shall look into that tonight. Fallout 1 or Fallout 2?

Both are good and use pretty much the same engine. I'd probably say Fallout 1, as it gives you a good idea of the Vaults, but there's not a lot in it. Check they'll run on XP though.
