VIP Maps on CS:S

Post by ProfHawking »

I was playing on a DIFFERENT SERVER  the other day.

They had some cool maps, where one of the CT team is a VIP, and they have to be evacuated somehow. For example on the italy map, there was a helicopter on the roof of the hostage house :ninja:

Any chance we could load some of these up and have a go?

i read that, and see this.

I'm gonna give a small amount of information, but with nothing helpful or specific, and expect an adult to do some work for me.
fuck off. get some links, find out if it needs any mods. try again. :)

in other news, i've been talking to hawking about this, while it does look a cool mod, it doesn't look like it'll run too well in a normal mapcycle (given it's a mod, that requires another mod to work)

so not just yet, maybe in a while once it's better developed (both mods are very young)

ok i have been bummed into submission :(
VIP maps need a fancy mod to work and as such are more hassle to load on bukkake than is worth it probably.

Cashy - yes there is an oilrig map tho.

Sounds a bit like the Hunted levels from HL1's TFC, although the VIP only had an umbrella in that, all the baddies had to be yellow snipers and the goodies were red HWGs, Soldiers or Medics.

It was fun for a while, the different skills involved in being forced into classes made for some interesting tactics and counter-tactics which you didn't always see in regular TFC where you could choose a class and excel in it.

One level was based around an SP level, but I remember the oilrig one, too. It pretty much died when people started discovering the TFC skillz, as did vanilla TFC.

TFC, how I loved you. Hunter was always our LAN fave because we could only ever get about 6 people together and they worked better than other modes with less people.
