5punk LAN 2 - Venue Search
Heylo,
Could everyone who can, have a look for possible lan venues in their area? so we can get our own lan underway, and we can try and have them in different areas, so it isn't the same people who are having to all the travelling.
Places to look at, village/town halls, school halls, function rooms, un-used offices. One of the hardest things to find I have found is somewhere that meets the power requirements.
Thanks, and happy hunting.

To be honest I'd expect to travel to any LAN, as there's only (I think) three of us live up here in the NE. It doesn't bother me as I'm used to travelling, so I'd say keep the annual (bi-annual?) 5punk party central. It might be worth getting a small one going in the south though as plenty people live down there. In fact, where was that map thing......
Also,

By the sounds of it, the midlands would suit "most people" as a next venue for 5punk LAN 2
Could everyone who either lives there, or is pretty good at JFGI'ing please have a look around for somewhere that hosts LAN events in the midlands area.
It's not fair to expect Ty to do everything, and we need to help him, to help us. All we need is a few suggestions posted as a reply to this thread with URL links where possible.
That way we can all have a look if we fancy going, and make comments on which one sounds the best.

I'll start ringing around, as soon as you give me ALL the details on what we'll need, overheads and power etc.Ty aka Sir Die Aloty wrote:herro all your (not so) lurverly peoples.
I still havn't had anyone offer any venue suggestions, so untill i have some, theres nothing I can do in terms of organising a lan.
so could you all please get me the details of townhalls and local halls for hire please.
Thankies
Ty
I seriously will need to know every little thing about it, as they won't be so sure to let us there if they don't know what's going to be going on/needed.
